Too much sleep can make you tired. Most people need between six and eight hours, depending on genes, age, activity level.. more or less will make you tired.

Not enough exercise too, will make you tired. Make sure you're eating healthy.. beyond that, it could be some disorder.

I used to get insomnia really bad. The only thing that works for me is a few glasses of red wine before bed. 8-)

    Hmm..

Can you bring something challenging to do?
Can you look around the place for problems to solve?
Even knitting or sewing or crossword puzzles?
Anything to keep you from feeling trapped in the dullest place?!
Maybe there's a way to improve the place as a way to relieve your boredom?

The thing with my job is that I ALWAYS have to look busy like I have work to do. So there's no way I could bring a book or anything else. So I pretty much just surf the internet all day which kinda gets boring day after day. But thank you for the suggestions I just feel as this job is hopeless and it'll always be boring!

my mom's doctor pooh pooh'd her yrs ago when she asked to be tested for cfs. Her doctor said she was too old, that kids get it. she had to pay a doctor she knows $100 herself for the epstein barr virus test which came back positive. she is sick and tired ALL the time...you're not going to like what my unprofessional diagnosis is: depression. You could be and not know it. Have you seen the Abilify commercials? "Depression hurts." Sleeping alot is a sign. I would change doctors. I would maybe get a tape recorder or some kind of recorder and set it up to see if you are snoring, I'm in agreement with the sleep apnea suspicions. You might want to see a different doctor. I've been to alternative medicine doctors and specialists and they are very much into natural food. One doctor sent me for a vit d test and my level was low. he said often people in chronic pain are deficient due to being indoors too much or wearing sunscreen. Also, sitting online long periods could contribute to tiredness and being sore. I think if you have sleep apnea, it could make you depressed. It sounds like you need exercise, but since I'm tired because I'm sleep deprived, I know that can be hard to do. Good luck to you and i'm sending you good vibes. I hope 2010 is better.

Why does your employer expect you to stay busy yet you have time to surf the Internet? Does not seem right!
Does your employer give you anything to do?

You know it could definately be depression, but nobody wants to admit they are depressed right? I have an awesome husband, family, and friends but I have been through a lot in the last 10 yrs that I've never really dealt with which I should but I just shrug it off and try and be happy which I think I am most of the time.
I know it's rediculous that my employer expects me to be busy all the time but that's just the way it is here. I do have work to do everyday but it doesn't take me an 8 hour shift to do it.
If you have nothing to lose, you have nothing to worry about.

Try dark chocolate with cocoa content of at least 70%.

    I'm not kidding, it works!

I don't really like chocolate, so I would just go about it as I would a medication: I had a specific amount I would eat each night, at the same time just to ensure I would remember to "take" it.

Since the time I did this (for about two weeks, give or take), I've gotten off all prescriptions, and feel far better than I did when I was on them.

The irony (of not being crazy about chocolate, and ending up with one of the few medical conditions for which chocolate is a benefit) is not lost on me.
