for 1 PJ song which one would have it been?

Mine would be I got Shit.

Even with 3/5 of the band missing this would have been a treat.

To see Jack (their best drummer), Neil, and Eddie rockin' the shit of this gem would have been insane.

As and added bonus I am sure they would have let me hang around for Long Road.

  • Single Video Theory brought us inside the studio for the making of Yield. That was good enough for me.

Agree, that was good, but I am a bit greedy.

I love how Stone was pushing In Hiding, turned out to be my favorite song.

YES! Thank you for saying that. I thought the same thing too. I really love that documentary. I think it provided more insight into how the band works better than any bootleg or concert DVD. That and I love Jeff's hats!

I agree... though OP is allowed to have his favorite.

For me, I'd like to have seen SOLAT.

...and that's assuming they recorded all the parts at the same time, as opposed to guitar, bass, drums, then later lead and vocals, etc.

    Vitalogy sessions, hands down

Mainly Immortality, Betterman or Corduroy but i'd prefer everything

such an interesting period in the bands history

    I would say Alive

mainly because that song will be one of the few that is played forever. I have always been interested in how those type of songs come about and if they know at the time how amazing the song truly will be.
I would also add that any record would be fun to sit in on because watching these guys work together would be extremely fun

    I still don't.

The way I see it is if there was no Jack Irons there wouldn't be a Pearl Jam.

Eddie is the heart and soul of this band.

But back to the drummers, I think Jack has the better resume and the drums on No Code, Merkinball, and Yield show his skill.

Probably the first song they ever officially recorded for Ten, whatever that was..
  • I'd have loved to have seen Binaural sessions, esp them playing with the multi-track vocals.

It's all a matter of taste. I don't like Jack's loose, softer drumming style, nor his timing. I like more technical drummers like Matt. I feel like it holds the songs together better.. gives them better structure.
  • One of their masterpieces... either 'Unemployable' or 'In My Tree'.
