enough with all this best albums of the decade...post your favorite albums of the year...try to limit it to five. in order/not in order; it doesn't matter. feel free to discuss.

mine in no order...

    No Particular order:

    PJ- Backspacer
    Black crowes- Before the frost/ until the freeze
    AIC- Black gives way to blue.
    Ben Harper- white lies in dark times
    wilco- self titled

    Honorable mention: (This almost made the list). Cracker- Sunrise in the land of milk and honey

    Biggest Dissapointments:
    Them Crooked Vultures- (they may be a better live band though).

    Not my best blog as i had to write it pretty swiftly but i have my top 40 albums (all that i got this year), top 15 songs, and top 5 concerts if anyone is interested :)

    As for my top five those were very easy. These 5 really resonated with me and stood head and shoulders above the rest:

    I read your list and looked around a little on your blog at lunch. Very nice site you got there! I ordered The Antlers, Hospice after reading your review. Looking foward to listening to it.

    so most of us can agree on backspacer, before the frost/until the freeze, and horehound looks like it.

    I hope you enjoy the album. I really got into it. I just thought it was so heartfelt and sincere. I related to the album on a personal level as I think anyone who has had a loss can.

    I liked your 2-5 on your list a lot! I have to get a copy of Soulsavers I've seen a lot of folks saying good things about it and i'm typically a fan of most things Mark Lanegan touches. I'll be getting some gift cards to itunes for christmas and I'm pretty sure it will be one of the ones I check out!

    I wish i could get into animal collective and understand what everyone loves about them. I'm very open to interesting, experimental, different music, but for some reason Animal Collective just does not capture me. I'm not slagging the album I just don't appreciate it like so many others do.

    It obviously is just not for me. Maybe one day it will click though.
