    Some great bands have been mentioned high on fire
    kylesa, mastadon etc. I also really like neurosis, book of black earth,
    serpent throne, outlaw order and tons more I can't think of
    at that moment.

    Neurosis = badass 8-)

  • Is Queensryche considered a metal band? If so, then they're on my list. Queensryche is my third favorite band - behind PJ and AIC.

    If you like Opeth, you might like Between the Buried and Me's newer stuff, off the albums Colors and The Great Misdirect. I highly suggest them.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

    System of a Down and Mastodon would easily be my two favorites. Lately, I'm loving Baroness, Kylesa and High on Fire. I have finally got into Metallica and have been collecting their catalogue. I read in Spin about thee metal band to watch being Revocation. Anybody have any opinions on them?
