    I've only seen two DVDs in that list. PJ gets my vote, but the Bernie Worrell DVD is definitely worth checking out, too!

    that was the worst list of shitty generic jam bands ive ever seen... keller and UM are fuckin garbage...

    the only things on there worth voting for were PJ, NY @ massey hall, and phish's "headphones jam"

    unfortunately PJ and NY probably dont stand a chance in a contest like that up against shit like that

    you guys would be surprised by the amount of respect pj gets over on the phish board i frequent. I wouldnt be surprised at all if they win. I wouldnt be that surprised if someone showed up to accept it.

    phish is one thing (by that i mean INCREDIBLE), but the rest of the company there... disco biscuits... umphreys... moe... all my friends who are into that shit have little or no respect for PJ and are completely clueless music snobs

    I seen Umphreys a bunch of times. they are amazing live. It just is not for everybody. The lead guitarist is unreal. Never misses a note, but doesnt have the soul to it that Trey has. And I also have seen keller williams 5 or 6 times. He is someone you should see once. Plays alot of crazy covers, Kielbasa Sausage to Big Shot to Metallica. Very unique. But like I said there are alot of phish fans that are also PJ fans.

    seen em both... UM a few too many times because of my friends... i thought UM put on a pretty good live show but the vocals fuckin blow and their jams are super repetitive at times though very skilled... adrian belew played with them for most of their encore the last time i saw them and that really just pushed it to another level of SHIT...

    i respect keller for his slap guitar skillz and his other real solid fundamentals but hes gotta realize the limitations of the whole looping thing and just focus on making better, more unique music...

    I agree with you on both points. But my only reason for bringing them up were that the fans that are interested in the jammys will probably happily vote for PJ. there was a thread about IIC on the phish board and not only a ton of people saw but most thought it was one of the best music dvd's ever.

    sweet! glad its getting the attention it deserves! even if you arent a big PJ fan you gotta appreciate the very human portrayal of the members (tho stone totally gets shafted!) and the amazing camera / editing work
