    My fave on Self Titled.
  • Heard it in Adelaide '06. Terrific song live, my favourite off that album behind Unemployable. If there's one song that I just didn't really get into before I heard it live, it would be Army Reserve, followed very closely by Insignificance.

It's Alright!...Definately NOT the Worst Song on the Album...:)
  • It's definitely one of their most underrated songs.

Force of Nature reminds me of Army Reserve- they are two very good songs that don't strike you as being such at first.
  • in 4-5 song left to erase from my dream live list..amazing..eddie voice in his best
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

I am NOT a fan of the Army Reserve.
I smile, but who am I kidding...
  • This track is greatness. That fat bass line is just great.

It's amazing how Ed really got into the heads of military families to write this from their perspective. I saw "Brothers" over the weekend and it made me think of the song. So many victims over here too.
  • Always liked Army Reserve then saw it on ACL and now im a big fan of that and Inside Job

really loved the ACL taping but thought the audio was a bit off - mike's guitar was high, stone's was barely audible and ed's vocals were high. might have just been my tv though...

It seems to be a polarizing song. To me it's easily the best on S/T and one of the top 15-20 they've ever done.

Then again i love Help, Help too ;)
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”
  • I've LOVED this song since the first time I heard it.

    Huge fan. :)
  • Very good song, not great IMO. Maybe a 7 out of 10. For PJ standards that is. Its a 23 out of 10 when compared with everything else.

the very first time I heard it, it hit me. those guitars, Ed's voice, the lyrics, everything.

I saw this at Camden 2...5/28/06
It has a really cool energy and groove and feel to it live
  • Love the song... no need to rank it! got to see it in 06 at the Meadowlands, but i did not know the album at that time.

I was surprised it never made an appearance at the spectrum shows, but that is why we keep coming back... to see that elusive song we have not seen in a while.
