Can you clarify? I've got tickets for MSG on Friday which say 8:00PM start. I'm going specifically for the Pickups (with Muse as the bonus, so don't flame please) and would be pissed if I missed anything. Thanks!0 -

We saw various start times of 7, 7:30 & 8. Well, yeah, it was 7 - more like 6:55. Seriously. We were drinking beer & eating cheesesteaks in the concourse and someone came back and said the SSPU's are playing now! I think we missed the first 2 or 3 songs - I'm so pissed. So anyway - get there early! And make sure you stay for Muse.I wouldn't want you to miss it. Don't worry, I'm not gonna flame. Have fun!

Thanks! And since I've had a chance to listen to the Muse discography over the past couple of weeks, I'm looking forward to them as well (although the last tour would have been preffered)

Silversun were awesome...no doubt...but Muse blew (and wouldve blown) anyone off the stage last night...so much energyShows:

I was also at the Philly show with 3 other people and we all left with our jaws on the floor. I've been to hundreds of shows over the years and Muse blew every other show out of the water, including Pearl Jam, Metallica and Radiohead (All amazing live acts). The stage, the lights, the sound mix, the HD video...everything was PERFECT. They blew Pearl jam out of the water and the tickets were $50 as opposed to $77 at the Spectrum from a certain band we all like around these parts. If money wasn't an issue I would head up to MSG Friday to see them again.0

Muse in Philly were absolutely PHENOMENAL! I can't wait for the pit tonight @ MSG! So bummed I can't make it to Boston tomorrow, as there are still tickets floating about. I missed SSPU as I was coming in from NYC, but hope to catch them tonight, I was surprised they were on so early. I think tonight's start is a little later.
I am Muse's b*tch! I can't wait to see them in London in September.
BTW, I have a friend who may not be able to make it tonight, she has a floor ticket, but reserved section 10. Let me know if you're interested and I'll double check with her if she can still make it.Glaciers melting in the dead of night and the superstars sucked into the supermassive.0 -
this week in Philly was my first Muse show - incredible...enjoyed Silversun Pickups too
those of you going to shows the next few days have fun!0 -
seriously, i just saw them at msg and i think my jaw actually hit the floor and stayed forere for a good ten minutes once they started-
i dont really know them at all, i went because my boyfriend wanted to go and i figured i would like them because i always see people writing about them on here.
we get there and the seats are really amazing, were on the right side of the stage like four rows back. but he's totally giving me the death stare because theres a giant screen blocking his view of the stage. i was like i dont know anything about this band, but im still 100% positive that when they start that will fall down and they will come out of it, its so obvious (he was so not buying it)
i was so not prepared for what was behind the screen though- i almost died when all the lights went on and that giant revolving teletron thing came out with even more lights flashing behind it- it was like something you see for a giant outdoor festival from really far away, only your watching from the first row at the movie theatre- and on top of all that theres even things like pyrotechnics and giant eyeballs falling from the ceiling-
there was a platform built on the stage that hung over the seats in our section, when the singer was on it he was literally like 3 feet away and staring directly at us. (this was so so funny after all the pre-concert whining about his view, and also should be built into msg as a permanent part of the stage in my opinion)
i am not at all trying to to pretend that i didnt enjoy every minute of this concert- but im still convinced they played one song that lasted two hours (i never heard their music before, but after a half hour i knew all the words to the chorus and could sing along). and i was also sure that the set had to be for some kind of dvd special right? (this cant really happen every night can it?)
i was so confused at first, this is like the complete opposite of what goes on at a pearl jam concert. i stil am not sure i see the connection? (but i really love when i go to msg and im positive the same crowd is there from when i go to pearl jam at msg, both muse and kings of leon now, someone in my section has actually said to me out of nowhere- you like pearl jam right- and im like yeah, and i hear me too behind me from another complete stranger-)
im also confused why i had to type that three times, i dont post on here that much but i know how to work a computer? why is that?0
