They wrote that maybe the 6th of july they will play in Udine. They also wrote about an insistent rumor about a new date: the 7th of July in Locarno... do anybody know something about that? I'm really interested because i'm a journalist :-) and I live near Locarno. If it's true it'a a huge news...

Udine seems to be a big maybe. Most of the press that talks about it mentions the press release from the Polish Universal as the source. Those who actually bothered to do some research got nothing in the sense that nothing has been really decided yet and is more likely that they'll do the Heineken Jammin' Festival if it's going to take place this year (last year it didn't).

Unfortunately i can't read Italian properly... but it's just rumours... would be fantastic, Pearl Jam in Locarno ...... The venue is somehow similar to the concert in Pistoia 2006

  • as i said before.... this venue is a must for a band like Pearl Jam!!One of the rare special places in Switzerland for concerts.

but I think is not realistic.... 8.7 Locarno, 9.7 Spain & 10.7 Portugal.... would be a bit of a rush...

Hell of a rush, and thats why I dont think they will play Glastonbury either. Dublin 22.6, Belfast 23.6, Hard Rock 25.6, Glastonbury 26.6 and Nijmegen 27.6.

Stone Gossard promises a special show, "where you will think of what happened in his time"
This year, Pearl Jam, celebrating its 20th anniversary. In this context, GAFFA Pearl Jam expert Henrik Tuxen - author of "The Pearl Jam Footsteps" - made a marathon interview with guitarist Stone Gossard. Here speaks Gossard and Tuxen among others, on an upcoming concert in Denmark, and Tuxen pose the following questions:

There was great speculation in Denmark, since I announced your tour schedule for summer 2010. There was a hole in the calendar on 1 July, Roskilde Festival starts, but it is so filled now with a concert in Poland. So I come not to Roskilde?

    - No, we do not. We looked at various options, we had to tour. We do not want to tour more than three weeks longer, we will not be away from our families and normal lives. We looked at places we had not been long. We need to Ireland where we have not played in many years, and we must play in Belfast for the first time. We're going to Scotland for the first time in a long time. It was the dates that gave the most money, and it was what could best be done. We should also pay bills at home. But we come back to Denmark again, and it will be a special show again, I am sure where you want to think about what happened in his time.

They won't play 3 days in a row in 3 different countries. That's for sure. So july 8th does not make sense.

You are talking about Heineken Jammin' Festival but the only avaliable dates for the band are 6 and 7. A tuesday and a wednesday. I've never seen a festival like that with dates on those days. They usually run from thursday to sunday or less.
