Reissue of back catalogue - what happened?

We've all been on a high with the the new album, the tour(s), the boots, etc. which were all great etc. but I was just wondering: what the heck happened to the back catalogue reissue program?? Maybe it's just me but I thought we'd be seeing the reissue of Vs or dare I say it, even the reissue of Vitalogy around about now. I'm just being greedy really - would love to see some expanded editions, new photos, maybe even a DVD or live show on CD, etc.

If they really are trying to get the whole thing done by their 20th anniversary they better get a move on...oh wait, the postman just arrived with my Ten Club 2008 Xmas single.... ;)

  • They've been busy making a new album and touring. They probably want to be hands on with the re-issues and are just putting it off until they got enough free time.

They're just giving us a brief reprieve to save up some money.

Don't do it .. look what happen to the value of ten .. don't do it ... :x
  • Personally, I'd prefer the wonderful 'special' download/s for those of us who bought the 10c Backspacer......

    you've totally lost me
  • It's been a year since they announced the the Ten Legacy Edition release. At that rate, the reissue should end probably in 2020.

I guess, like other have suggested, that they will combine albums reissues in boxes covering different era. 1990-1992, 1993-1996?.... who knows!

Maybe they took a look at what uncle Neil has done with his archives box set and they want to do something similar! :D

I'm hoping a March '10 release of Vs/Vitalogy ReIssue Box Set!
And Jan/Feb '10, the release of Philly'09 DVD & Bluray Box Set!
Oh yeah, can't forget, May '10, Halifax Metro Centre!

anything that will open up THE VAULT!

and since these are early albums, that will hopefully require them to provide never-before-released shows from the 1994-1998 time period...

Let's not forget aboout the new EP that Mike menitoned as well. I'm thinking that has to be only 3-5 months out now :)

  • I got the feeling that we are going to have so much new merchandise at the same time in the near future (philly bootlegs, 2009 bootlegs sets, 2009 tour t-shirts, 2009 tour poster + re-issues and new EP and a 2010 tour) so I am going to start saving some money... :)

if I am right then he did not like the reissue of ten, i did not really notice much of a diffecerence between the two version. but i enjoyed the bonus tracks.

A box set of albums would be an awesome idea, perhaps with some bootlegs of the bands favourite shows?

I'm thinking it is more in reference to re-issues taking down the value of the vinyl already out there? Less demand for the original pressings. . .

I always thought the point of records was for listening to, not as a collectors item. What are they, baseball cards?
