Yeah Doc comes off as a real knowitall jackass, like he's the only one who knows a basketball is freaking round. That was perhaps the most eminently fair question asked in years by a Phila. sports writer. Doc's response should be up there with "I got mixed up because my 2-point conversion chart got wet in the rain."

I know everything happens in a vacuum, and in a normal world a coach in his 2nd season shouldn't get the most scrutiny, but the microscope has to be put on Doc now. All the changes that can be made have been made. If they come up like completely, woefully short then I want the crosshairs directly pointed at him.

I just hope all 20,000 fans wear their masks, even if the guy next to them is eating and drinking without their mask.  Gotta stop that spread

I know I know, better to not try at all than try at all.

Them making the conference finals is a stretch. They can do it, can go all the way actually, but it surely isn't an expectation of mine.

I like before the game they were saying "Can Maxie handle the post-season pressure yada yada" - anyone who watches this guy knows the answer to that.

The fans' B-Ball Paul chant is Philly fan legend - up there with the EVA chants of 2008. Thousands of fans sticking it to their own coach during a rousing victory. Gotta love this town. I'm pretty sure Doc is gone no matter what - if they win 15 more games he'll be in LA before the parade.

Classic trap game tonight with the big win and the unfortunate Barnes injury. And all the fans forced to .. nevermind not going to say it. I mean, why wouldn't they not just make everyone be vaccinated instead?

Because it's easier to inspect 20k people walking into a venue with a mask on than inspect 20k vax cards. I really still do not understand the inconvenience of all this. God forbid, you'd think you're being asked to have your dick cut off. THE TYRANNY.

They should walk in this game, definitely expect a closer game. But it's absolutely crucial to take both games before heading to TO without Thybulle.

Yeah they really need to win with Toronto being so short handed tonight. 

How did you feel about Harden's game on Saturday? I'm good with that kind of performance out of him, at this point. Basically, if Maxey is this budding star, or possibly a fringe all-star caliber player, I think this new slower/but still master playmaker Harden can be a good mix with him and Jo. He just needs to realize his role.

Definitely need him to hit 36%+ of his threes and make more of those shots around the basket though.

Yeah, Harden make a couple 3's to keep 'em honest, couple of drives, and otherwise just setup Maxey, Harris, Embiid & the rest. Tobias really had a nice game - shame they were chanting for Tyrese while he was shooting FT's.

Harden can be a realistic version of himself and this team will be fine, albeit yes Maxey or Harris can step up. Especially Maxey, let this be his phoenix rising out of arizona. Harden's already a net-positive over having an absent malcontent hanging on the roster.

If Embiid isn't the best player on the court for them every game that is a great thing. Speaking of which - you see the way Jokic played in that game? Talk about the perfect pad-the-stats player.

I got nervous as soon as the lead got into the 20s but nicely done holding on - didn't really let them get all that close. Matisse barely saw the court (he didn't think this through huh?) - let's get the next 2!

Yeah I gotta give credit to Doc for starting Danny and basically acclimating now for not playing with Thybulle. I feel less pessimistic. But nonetheless gotta grab at least one up there and then finish it off back here.

Second game in a row they matched the Raptors intensity, did well on the glass, and treaded water in the non Embiid minutes. 

I feel like this has been the best they've looked after a couple games in the playoffs during the Process era.

I know - they have generally blown one of those first two home games. Embiid's late1st quarter was amazing - he was just willing the team back into the game.
