eyeball opine please!

working on a calendar with some of my PJ inspired sketches. which variation do you like best? note that it's a rough draft, i.e. the months will vary for the year :lol:

    I like #1.

    I do like #2 as well, but remember, some folks like to write things on their calendar, and the all black pretty much removes that possibility.

    thank you for the advice guys! i could offer two versions, one with a white background and another with black, to accomodate those who want to write on it. what do you think?

    Love #2 the best, but they all look great! The black background makes the figures stand out more, I think.

    I do too, but I don't think I'd write on a collectors item like that, I'd use the free calendar you'd get from a local bank or supermarket for that.....just my opinion though...

    I think variation three would be the one I'd like to look at over the course of a year. It's very graceful. :)

    The others are good too but they feel heavier to me because of the box of color in #1 and the black background in #2. Number three is lighter than the other two and it pulls my eyes to the flowing lines of your designs in a pleasing way. :)

    thanks justam! yeah i was torn after i made those, because i like the contrast of the design with the black background but the lightness of the others make it easier to write on and on the eyes too. i'll figure something out haha

    also considering making a small version the size of a CD case, that can stand up as an easel for a desk :)

    i like #2 also. keep the pics on a black background, but could you make the date/month boxes on a white background?

    I like the idea of a small one for a desk!
