After the success of their Australia/New Zealand tour I am wondering if the stadium shows were an experiment by the band, to see if they might start doing this more regualrly.
They are always awesome so this would be quite a change.

If I'm right, there were several of those concerts attracing crowds larger than 30,000?

I don't think it's new to the band. In 2006 I was at the Arnhem soccer stadium and I think it was a 25,000 crowd. Much will depend on the interest and places available.

    lets hope not,

remember their demand in australia is huge.....

In the Uk im not sure they would fill wembley for example....

20,000 arenas are about right over here......and they sell out because most of us go to them all. We cant ll go to wembley twice at the same time though!!!!

or they could play some clubs..... :D
  • Wembley Stadium would be special. I mean PJ can make that place intimate. And I believe that it would sell out. Sure there is a risk, but there shouldn't be really. With PJ prmoting themselves more than ever nowadays they are getting through to more and more fans. Personally it's a catch 22 situation. I loved seeing them at the Arena back in 96 and the security were saying to themselves who are these guys? It made the night special.

Stadiums wouldn't work in Europe, just not that many of us. They are popular enough for the 20k venues round the world, dont think 50,000 stadiums would sell out every time but i could be wrong. But anyhow i never trusted stadiums for concerts, saw iron maiden at a rugby stadium and the sound was direee.

75,000 to 90,000 seated and 15,000 standing (concerts).

I still think much more - it holds 90,000 now seated so I expect at least that when you get the GA area full too on the pitch, hell it might be `100k plus

There isn't people with good music taste in the UK for that to happen. Open air shows are great if they are in the right space but Wembley Staduim is not that place. I would like to see them play Earls Court Arena but the o2 was a good venue. PJ are not a staduim band but they are good outdoors as Reading proved. It is the quality not the quantity that counts.

D'oh! I don't like stadium show's! Though if they are thinking on doing this & purely festival play, then I hope it's a Halifax Commons or Magnetic Hill experience in 2010. We got the area! :)

Would rather see 4 shows in a 15-20,000 arena than one in a 70-80,000 stadium!

they don't even sell out most arenas and amphitheaters. The 2008 shows didn't sell out until they came north
