GREAT Setlist...and 'Once' got played would of been cool to see that :D
  • Worth the cold weather to get a setlist like that...yeah can't wait to read the reviews....I would have gone nuts to hear I Got You. Congrats to the whole crew, band, managment, roadies & staff of Pearl Jam for putting on such a wonderful OZ / NZ tour. I'll say it again, I can't think of better support cast that I've seen on this tour, congrats to Liam Finn & Ben Harper, you've converted me instantly to your music.

Auckland was awesome, but Christchurch blew it out of the water. Bravo PJ & friends, best gig I've ever had the privilege of witnessing.

    seriously though, just plain ridiculous.

(Sorry currently sitting on one hours sleep... forming sentence = challenging)

Must say though, outside of the PJ set, Liam+Ed+EJ+Cinnamon Girl = AMAZING.

Ausome show!!1, Cinnamon girl was excellent, Stink weather, but as was said before, was well worth it. We met some fantastic fellow 10c members, shame we couldnt have our own area, that would have been much better. Got some fantastic shots of Ed and Ben.
The Finn element was fucking great, Even Ed seemed to be blown away with the audience participation on better be home soon.
We took out 16 year old son, it was his first concert and he loved it....thanks to Ed and the boys for making the effort to get all the way down to Christchurch for us, it was really appreciated. :D

  • Eddie is so much fun, he seemed so relaxed last night and FUNNY! He told the crowd we are "a handsome bunch, the kind of handsome that it would'nt take a couple of beers to want to fuck you!!!" hahaha. Stone had a cheeky grin on his face the entire night, hmmm n.z. green?
Great set list, pure entertainment. Really pleased 10c members stuck together (had to fight off a few mad drunk teens), great crowd from Oz. Liam goes off, he seems a lot like his uncle Tim on stage. Ben Harper was stunning, (in every way) really impressed.
Thank you Pearl Jam for coming back, we have missed you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jealous! Vids Pleeasseeeeee
  • It was truly amazing! so glad to be close to friendly ten clubbers hehe. One douche bag stole my spot (2nd row) about 3 songs in, but I managed to get it back. I had to use every muscle in my body to keep the spot though, as it got more wet I kept slipping on the metal floor of the barrier.
I really was not phased by the rain at all, and I usually hate rain. It was just too amazing to care. It was definitely the best show I've ever been to, hands down. My boyfriend got one of Jeff's picks but he didn't tell me til we got home, and he gave it to me :D
I took quite a few photos but was hard to keep the camera steady in the mosh so most are blurry.

I liked how Eddie showed us his NZ accent, it was funny! I'm glad they were having a brilliant time performing and talked with the crowd lots, nothing worse than seeing a band and they look like they're hating it.

Thank you so much for the amazing gig Pearl Jam! (and Ben, Liam, Neil)

Best concert i have been to. this was my first PJ concert. Was quite a way back, we had 10c tickets but wanted to be with friends so did not queue early. Man these guys are amazing live which i knew they would be but far out. Mike oh shit i could watch you play all day. Was happy with the set list. Would of loved them to play Black, Nothingman, and Nothing as it seems. Next time maybe. They promised it would be only 1, 2 or 3 years in between this time. Loved it at he end when everyone come out to do KORFW, they all looked so happy it was so heart warming or something.

My only gripe is some of the people, we got there found our spot and thats where we staying all night, what is up with pushing you way past with a chain of 5 people and then half and hour later pushing back past the other way, Im sure my back had a sign on it "path through this way".

Next time i hope to be right at the front or sitting down. Love for them to do a smaller venue.

But still a awesome night, thanks Pearl Jam please please come again soon.
  • Talk about going out with a bang! That was a masterful performance by the boys on full throttle almost the entire night! Another great opener to get the crowd right into it, and another massive 30,000 - incredible turn out for PJ here in NZ after all these years.

The first set didn't really ease up at all - it was epic! Great to hear Once and then blown away to hear Tremor Christ, but then In MY Tree too - speechless! Highlight for me I Got Shit. The End was another one of those moments to treasure and despite hearing Ben duo on Indifference on so many boots, seeing it live was incredible.

The second encore capped off what felt like a big party to end the tour with everyone up there for RitFW.
Me and my three bros rockin out at the front of the 2nd T-barrier - great spot - full unobstructed view of the stage, plenty of room to jump up and down and no muppets trying to push through! Rain was really light and didn't put a dampner on things at all, cold though after Auckland!

Very special weekend, hopefully the boys hold to their word and come back much sooner next time!!
A big shout out to all the 10 Club folk we met over the 2 gigs and especially everyone partying until the wee hours at Fat Eddies last night!

THE most EPIC setlist - it's like they said, Topaz, what would you like us to play and then played them, one after the other...

I got my biggest wish - In My Tree, just amazing. Also - Garden! Tremor Christ! Once! I Got Shit! Marker In the Sand! And, I Got You, hope we all realise how lucky we are to hear songs like that live and by the people who wrote them...alongside people like PJ

Had to laugh when the houselights came on (hint hint from the bosses, time to go home) and they just kept on playing

Fuckin freezing until they came on, then we all just went so crazy who could think about things like rain or temperature anyway?

Loved Ed's commentary on what a good looking bunch we are

    |Cannot WAIT for the boots of this one! As I said in the auckland thread, I'm so grateful to everyone involved, and that means you too if you were there, two of the best concerts of my life in one weekend.

Well done Aotearoa for showing the world we can rock out as hard as anyone, and for proving that 11 years is just too long. Can't wait to see you back here, PJ.

    Nga mihi ki a koutou!!

    Great concert!
I was 2nd row of 10clubbers back in front of Mike which was my main goal at the start.

Liam Finn was insane and really a great live act. With Eddie joining in for a song and Neil running on stage and stand up a mic it was quite a 'fun' performance.

Ben Harper was solid, I was extremely happy to here Faded but missed Ground on Down (I don't know a lot of Ben.) Most people seemed blown utterly away by Under Pressure which was great.

    Now Pearl Jam...

The crowd surge wasn't as bad as I expected, some girls had spent the entire night trying to push in but we did well to keep them behind us. Sadly a guy passed out and when my mate and I parted to let them through a whole lot of people rush in behind to fill the void leaving my mate about 4 to 5 rows back. But luckily I wasn't moved too much and spend the night standing beside a female 10clubber (I am sorry I forgot to get your name  ) who was in the earlyish stages of pregnancy and we managed to have room to move up until the final encore.
Some girl rushed up to the front during Alive and stole the guys beside me spot which was fucking rude in my opinion but I suppose the part of GA.

The boys were on fire from the start and I got my Mike McCready moment in the first song. It's amazing how cool a simple point and point back from one person to another can be epic enough to make someones night.
To use 80s slogans and metaphors to measure the first group of songs it is a blur of awesome, radical and bodaciousness wrapped in neon PVC and big hair. So pretty epic really...
I missed Corduroy or some somg similar to 'start' the night I suppose but that wasn't a drama after the first line of Given to Fly was already out of my mouth (which for the people surrounding me was great because the sound of PJ would have blocked me out.)
The encores rocked, the boys weren't off stage for long as all and you only had a short time for conversation before they were running back out.
The last encore was superb (I didn't know The Real Me so I felt like a douche) with the Finns giving their countrymen a bit of Crowded House and Split Enz (wanted I See Red as the chance was higher having 2 Finns there) and a great group effort of RITFW with everyone on Stage arming themselves with Tambourines.
I hoped we impressed them, it's nice to know they had just as good of a night as any of us.

And finally the most epic part (equal to the McCready point though)...

Singing Happy Bday to Matt was cool (I share his bday) but as we were leaving my mate suddenly passes me none other then one of the drumsticks Matt was using(they threw a whole lot later on but this was one of the all nighters.) He said he timed his jumped perfect and it was down this pants before anyone had known.. they were looking at his feet...

So now I have a very cool poster, 2 tickets and a drumstick to frame...

Biggest downside of course was having my partner being 8 mths pregnant and having to sit in the stands. The boys haven't been here for a while so that was a major bummer for me (we went to Brissy in 06 so she got seats with me then.)
Bring on fenced off 10 Club areas!

I'll be adding more once I get over it!

you must have been near me, that girl who pushed in during alive ended up between me and I think the dude you're talking about. She had her elbow in my face a lot. :(

Could your elbow have not made a (slightly harder perhaps) connection with her face as well?
