    off topic sorry!
My degree is in Politics, I specialised in social politics, policy and decision making and also did European/US politics, political theory, stats etc. I work in local government now, negotiating performance agreements with Westminster.
It's a good grounding for quite a few areas of work in the public sector, large corporations and large charities. The stats side of it can be in demand, we always need good stats people and as the sector becomes increasingly perfomance driven it is critical. It led me to my job, but my mate Peter to specialise in peace and negotiation and now he is a UN peace ambassador and negotiator in conflict zones.
Sociology is a more difficult one, as there are people who do it as a distinct specialism and often do social policy, it may not be as directly applicable in a job situation if you see what I mean. I had a few friends who did Sociology, one them re-trained as a nurse, another as a teacher and the last works in neighbourhood management.
Currently economics is a good option, and we struggle to find people with both a public sector and business base in our economic development and regeneration services. I've a friend who is an economist and travels the world undertaking contracts for development banks.

I've been to quite a few places in Spain, but never Barcelona, so that would be very cool!

*As of January 2008, the population of Greece is estimated at 11,262,000 by Eurostat.

*Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey and fifth largest city proper in the world with a population of 12.6 million.

This is what I meant :) I know you didn't say anything about this, I was just using it as a reason why Istanbul needs some Pearl Jam ;)
