I agree, this is very generous of you!
I also want to say thank you, I was able to get a lot of great shows from the threads you started a couple years back. Those threads really opened the floodgates when it came to my bootleg collection :D

    Thanks Again,

  • Well for a start it's an offer that would be hard to beat.I always had a feeling there is something different about Pearl Jam fans and here is another example.Good on ya..

Anyway I am a 26 yr old Aussie living in Norway now.Pearl Jam is my favourite band by far.Been to 7 shows including 2 in Europe and seen them across 3 different tours.I now have 12 bootlegs but would love to hear more because every show is something special. As far as I'm concerned there isn't anything better than a Pearl Jam concert and over the past 2 tours i have bought 11 tickets for family and friends as gifts so they can experience Pearl Jam and everyone of them has been blown away.Gives me a good feeling when i can influence people with their music and see them return to the next tour.Highlight for me was going to Newcastle 2006 with my Dad in second row.A funny thing to mention also is that last time i went back to Australia i saw that my mother has bought all of their albums and didn't even tell me.
I would be very grateful if you could kick start a boot collection for me.Thanks for the chance :D
    Good luck to everyone!
    cheers

    Chris,

What a generous offer. I saw my first PJ show in '92 when I was 16. I'm not a young fan, I'm not a new fan. Honestly, I don't know if I would even be considered die hard. However, for the past 17 years Ed and the guys have hummed through my veins despite the best efforts of my newest favorites trying to drown them out. I will use a silly analogy of Pearl Jam and other music being like my friends. Through the years, I have grown up, moved on and changed friends based on what my needs were at the time (my party friends, now my mommy friends etc) and despite these changes, one friend has remained by my side through it all. We aren't always in touch, we aren't always in tune, but we are always there for each other. This is Pearl Jam to me. Live shows are like a face to face meeting with that friend that is by my side. We pick up where we left off, we reconnect with one another, and I say to myself "Yes, this is why Pearl Jam has been a constant for me!"

  • LeatherMosquitoMan,

So i am 19, just started my freshman year at the Berklee College Of Music in Boston (hoping to be a music business major). As this is the first time i have had to be financially responsible for myself I have no money whatsoever so buying new music is not something that i have funding to do. Despite this i own the entire studio PJ Catalog. Anyways, i've been absolutely OBSESSED with Pj for about 2 years now. This August i caught my very first PJ show in Chicago and i surprised my old man by taking him as well. He told me out of all the shows he's seen since the early 70's that PJ and Bruce Springsteen were the two best shows he's ever seen. We loved the show so much that we came back down the next night for Chicago 2. Back and forth from Grand Rapids to Chicago 2 times in 2 days. This Halloween i was also blessed by a fellow 10C Member with a pair of tickets for the last show at the Spectrum. This was the longest day of my life. My bus left Boston at 730 am, Arrived in new york at 1230. Left for Philly at like 3 didn't get there until 5 with all the traffic. Witnessed the most amazing show of my life until roughly 1am. Now i couldn't afford a hotel so i had to come back the same night. My bus left Philly at 2, got back to New York at 4. Bus from New York back to Boston left at 730 and didn't arrive to boston until 1230. If you add all that up i was up and traveling for 29 hours straight all by myself with no sleep. Now i would do absolutely anything within my power for this band to see them within my financial constraints. Hell, i traveled for 29 hours by myself to two cities i've never been to before just to see one concert but i would do it ALL over again in a heartbeat. This band has changed my life, no matter how i feel, whatever emotion i have, on my best days and on my worst, there is a Pearl Jam song made for just about any emotion i have felt. If you could hook me up with this it would truly mean the world to me and i would be forever grateful.

    John

p.s. Sorry this is over 50 words lol.
  • Ok... so i'm closing this offer. Only for 1 reason. I've decided to offer this to everyone that gave me a heartfelt reason. I think it was 9 total. It's gonna take me forever, but what the hell.

I'll send a bulk pm to you guys tonight, with info on what to send me and how.

Oh, and throw in an extra 13 DVD's, and i'll burn all of 2008 (Including the Beacon) and all of 2009, as long as you don't mind waiting until the Philly and Aus/NZ boots get released.

sent a pm. i went a little over 50 words but i always get a little caught up talking about pearl jam. i guess the short version would be that i just love the music so much, can't go a day without it. and being almost 23, living in toronto, i curse my birth not being about 15 years earlier, in seattle. just trying to make up for lost time.

Haha, thanks Andy. You know though, i've got a bunch of people to thank over the years that have helped me get an amazing collection, like yourself, Demetrios, and remember I'm Gone? There's a bunch more, but you 3 contributed quite a lot.

If i can introduce a new fan, or a couple of new fans to the world of Pearl Jam live, then my work here is done.

  • Yeah what a guy, what a terrific thing. WOW !

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you have a great day!
  • A few of you have asked about FLAC>mp3, or FLAC>iTunes...

I'm almost 100% certain FLAC isn't compatible with iTunes, and also, the files are way too big, you'd only get a handful of shows on your iPod.

You would need to convert the FLAC to .wav files first and there are ample programs, also free, to do this easily. You would then need to convert the .wav files to mp3, and you could probably do it with the same program, depending on what you download.

Like i said, FLAC is pretty easy to work with, CAN be a little time consuming, but all in all, pretty easy.

I can walk you through individually once i get all the files back to you. And also, these are all AUDIO files, NOT video files. It's just easier for me to store them hard copy on DVD's.

fyi, best buy has 300 gig usb hd for about $75. might be able to get for less other places. it's also a good idea to have one to back up your hard drive in case of computer failure.

Hey Chris, first of all i think thats a quality idea!! i wish i got into the band earlier for touring more, as the first time i saw them was 2000 in Glasgow, then there was a break for 6 years!!!
However i'm looking for 2 bootlegs- Munich 07 and London 07 i was part of the tour package the arranged for fans that year and was promised boots of the shows, but was told on arrival that the band decided that was no longer the case.
Do you have copies of these show or know where i can get them?
    Cheers
