Pearl jam's biggest venue

Some people seem to be omitting the recent venue at ACL... The festival claimed it only sold 65k, however, when I was entering security on Sunday was lax, to say the least... I was near the front, and looking backwards i would guessimate that there were easily 85-90k there.
That being said... Has Pearl Jam played Glastonbury? I think they have haven't they? That is the biggest festival in the world, it annually attracts 150K...
Also to consider: I know PJ has done Mexico City, and I can tell you that the football stadium there is the biggest venue Metallica has ever played at 107K+....
And there's also Wembly Stadium to consider... not sure if they're played that legendary venue or what the capacity is... anyone?
I don't think this riddle will ever be solved... just argued over...Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -

i would agree, but let's see if the OP agrees too
my reasoning for them not counting is that you may know how many people were at the festival, but you can never know definitively how many people were watching PJ...and you don't know how many people were watching it for the whole set, most of the set, half the set, a few songs, joined in late, came and went...too many variables to get an accurate measurement of audience members...
at an actual PJ concert, you know how many people bought tickets and how many people watched PJ...
my answer sticks with somewhere in South America0 -

...do you mean as far as a Pearl Jam show goes, or a festival where Pearl Jam was one of many headlining acts?ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

My first PJ show was in San Fran 1995- and there were over 50k - Guess who was front row center? I was 14 years old I believe. The pits back in those days were about half the size of a football field- they were killer! I just hung on to the rail as the madness broke out behind me!
That was my favorite show of all time! Drove out about 8 hours slept in the car for about 4 hours and then made it the front of the line the next day (abt 7am- show started around 4or something) Then drove right back home another 8hrs..... I have my brother to thank for that crazy experience ..... oh yeah did I mentioned Bad Religion opened up for them! And that ed only performed 7 songs- Yup my favorite PJ show of all time!
sorry i went off the topic a little there, but it was like 55k... hope I was able to help0 -
didnt Lolla 07 have 80,000 there plus 10,000s of people watching online?0

I'd have to say a South American show will top the list - they get insane crowd numbers over there.0 -

That's cool! Yeah - that was my first show and to this date it remains my favorite show of all time- Maybe because it was my first experience. I was a kid and scared as hell! Did you take any pictures? I have a few. I didn't like the whole Neil Jam thing, but hung out either way. I was hoping Ed would come back, but just never happened. That was one great show!0 -
