  • maybe not every year, but they were locked in for 2001 i believe?

i still don't know if i believe that rumour.

because roskilde happened like 7 months before BDO, do they have bands locked in that far ahead????

EDIT: i guess they are in talks with bands for most of the year.

I don't like this rumour AT ALL :(
The 'All That Much' part is mostly for Uncle Neil in Australia.

I need to have money to get moving to UK. Big Day Out prices x6 on top of the mandatory touring costs for side shows, accom and travel will put them plans back a couple of months, meaning money spent on NOT watching Ting Tings and Arctic Monkeys.

As we have been saying, the problem with the BDO (not sure about other festivals, havent been to any others) is the amount of drunken, immature, disrespecting idiots that seem to only attend to "pick up" or get wasted.

I'm not sure if this is an Australian trait more than others.

PJ seem to not mind playing at Festivals lately, so it's feasible, but as alot of us have stated, and i'm in the same mind, I hope that they either play some side shows for us, or come next year on their own.

If they only played at the BDO, I would still go.

Well I wouldn't go to a bdo unless PJ were playing. Of course I would prefer them to do side shows. But if they are playing in my home town, thenn i'm there.

But anything to get them into the country.

I went to the Setlist section on this site and checked the 1995 tour and 14/3/95 was Canberra. There's a mistake on there with the Sydney shows though. It says they played at Entertainment Centre twice, when in fact one of the shows was an outdoor at Eastern Creek. I wasn't a fan in 1995 so missed out.

That's why the place to check for setlists isn't here, but 2FT/5H, and previously TSIS

  • its silly. if all these large bands are gonna be playing side shows for example in melbourne when BDO hits here, where the hell are they all gonna play their side shows? there would be too many bands needing big venues all at once. rod laver dont have pj booked.. if that helps the 'rumour'.
..how did it come to this?

  • Please please please let this be true. My bros told me about Neil Young about a month ago and now he is touring next year (tickets go on sale Friday). I was like "oh imagine if PJ came too!" I've always wanted to see PJ at a big day out - my ultimate music dream!

You prefer an 80 minute set over a 120 one?

    Of course not!

Just the festival atmosphere and two of my fav musical acts. Plus I could prove to all my friends who moan when I mention Pearl Jam that they are still freaking cool. Would be even better at Splendour in the Grass.
