In all honesty, given the current concert environment and demand for bands coming out of hiatus or doing a reunion, I wonder if they would attempt stadium shows next year.

I had the same thought and it really brought down my excitement. Realizing that most of my favorite bands tour so sporadically and now go the stadium route sucks!

Yeah I probably would not go to a stadium unless the tix were free. I did like the festival set at Liberty Park.

would anyone else expect that they'd eventually do a residency at the Sphere?

It’s possible if Stanley and Thom had some great ideas. But part of me think they would think it was too kitschy and would just do a regular tour or normal venues.

they are just such a visually inspired band. It would fit perfectly.

For physical product yes. Live, not really. Their stage show is pretty barebones. Basically just live shots. For IR and KOL I think it was just 5 portrait screens. AMSP was pool shaped screens but also with live shots. Can’t remember HTTT or KidA/A or OKC for that matter (I’m Old, brain is going)

They do have a ton of portrait shots, and instrument close ups, but there are some amazing light sequences. The In Rainbows tour had those light pillars. There are times when it is low key, but they do bring some serious visuals to the live show IMHO. I hope they release new music and do an arena tour. It's been way too long. I was lucky to see the last show they did in Philly during the AMSP tour and there were definitely visuals and amazing lights.

I think they could do a Sphere show/shows not sure why it has to be a residency? Do the bands that play the Sphere have someone from their crew put together the visuals or does the Sphere have their own art creator work with the band? Heck if the Eagles can do it I would think Radiohead has way more to work with.

I think most bands that play the Sphere hire a production company to create the visuals. It is like an IMAX theater, maybe in house but maybe not. They will need more than a couple of shows to pay for that.

I'm not itching to go back to Vegas, but the Sphere is more / less on my bucket list now... I would hope for it to be one of my favorite bands that I see there, so from that perspective Radiohead at the Sphere would be fine by me.

Ah yes the cost of renting the Sphere could be the difference between doing it or not, but I’d def try for tickets the venue is totally worth the travel expenses in also think Tool would be a great fit

Personally, I am not a fan of Vegas. I would not travel there to see any band. The Sphere does not intrigue me. I do not want to see a band in a giant planetarium. I am just wishing for more Radiohead music and hopefully more live shows in normal venues.

If you want perfect sound that’s what separates the Sphere from any other venue in the country Arena’s can’t match it

Good sound engineers can make almost any room sound good. But I hear you. Dolan spent big dollars making the Sphere state of the art.

I respect your feelings on Vegas.  But don't count out the Sphere until you experience it personally . Trust me, it's a must for any music fan.

Thank you. Vegas is just not my thing. I hope Radiohead puts out new music and tour in the near future. I would even be happy with a festival set.
