The Allman Brothers were sopposed to open up for Pearl Jam at Bonnaroo 08. My two favorite bands ever in the world.....too bad Gregg Allman decided he would rather get Hepititus C than open for the best band in the world. Instead I went from hearing "Whipping Post" into "Hard To Imagine" to hearing 'all my songs sound the same' Jack Johnson open....terrible. Good thing Pearl Jam rocked.
But anyways, come on.... The Allman Brothers Band (or whats left of them) opening for Pearl Jam. You really can't ask for better musical talent assembled on one stage

The Strokes would be a kick ass tour if they opened for Pearl Jam. I'd be at that show for their first song. Have Ed come out for a song or two and that show would be killer! And plus, Julian Casablancas said Pearl Jam did it for him when he was 14 and the song was Yellow Ledbetter for him. Read it in the R 'n' R Hall of Fame issue of Rolling Stone.

They have already opened for PJ. 23.08.06. and it was class. a forest, the sun, some cool beers, and blues rock. that venue is perfect for that band.

My son is a Sigur Ros fan. I just don't get it. I raised him on rock & roll.

the song "thrash unreal", along with many others, would be right in line with a pearl jam live set.
Manchester Orchestra!
check them out. They're amazing. It's not really an orchestra from Manchester.
