Personally for me it's one of my faves from the new album. The only ones I'm not digging that much is GSMF & Supersonic, other than that those, I'm loving Backspacer.

And I think it kicks ass live. Hopefully it takes the place of Unemployable as a mid-set staple
yeah, i'm nto a big fan of unemployable. While I like the last album overall, i think it had too much filler on it. felt the same way about riot act. Backspacer may be short, but there is no filler on it, just one good song after another. even the ones that aren't my favorite are still good songs.

The Fixer and Speed of Sound are the only two songs I almost always skip...Fixer never grew on me and I am so happy the rest of the album turned out as good as it did.
Johnny Guitar is one of my faves from the album... rapid fire lyrics and unexpected lyrical delivery (I love "foriginal"). While I enjoy vital, no code, yield more than the others, I feel JG is more like a song from the ten or vs. era. The lyrical delivery reminds me of "Go", I am thinking... neveractedupbefore / johnnyguitarwatsonstairin'atme.
So maybe I like JG for nostalgic reasons... one of the reason I was so drawn to PJ back in the day was Ed's delivery.
I was at the ACL taping... I thought it was one of the better performances of that evening.
I love everything about Johny Guitar. It's a great rocking Pearl Jam song with fun lyrics, and how could you not love Jeff Aments bass in that song? Jeff Ament is great in Johny Guitar.
