Thanks for your input. It was extremely helpful and made me realise that I am not allowed to have a subjective opinion and that relativism is dead. So much for paradigmatic thinking, I guess ...

More people are dying and historically have died from the "regular" flu each year. No one seems to be concerned about that. I do know people who have been hospitalized because of the regular flu and the few people I know who have had swine flu were not. I think it's funny how this "pandemic" has been blown out of proportion in an attempt to use fear to control people. But...I digress. This is not A Moving Train thread and no place for conspiracy theory (unsubstantiated or not).

To the OP....f'ing HILARIOUS! I do recommend calling your vet for immediate attention...I'm trying not to picture what has turned orange but I imagine that can't be good. ;)
believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.

the swine flu is the most over hyped flu in the last 1000 years. yes it has killed people, but not to the extent of even the reg flu, yet it seems to be on the news 24/7. good grief charley brown.

Thank you for your concern. I've never been innoculized for the regular flu so I'm going to pass on the swine flu one as well.

Jokes can be in bad taste, I don't think this one is. I guess I'm just jaded to the whole thing? The media overblows the shit anyways that so much of the community is in a seemingly endless state of paranoia. It's hard not to take a jab at it sometimes.

Yes, U are right. I wrote my friend has the flu. "Normal" flu, not swine. And it was really dangerous.
But it's definitely not funny. I am sure You will have different opinion if some of Your close people had this disease.
This is disturbing that the flu year after year take more and more people. And mutates. Maybe it's not time to panic yet, but surely... it wasn't be this way 15-20 years ago. And this virus can be dangerous.

BTW. In two days we had 3 personss who died because of swine flu. Why media talk about it? Not because of the number, only because of short period of time, when they died. Although in my country there are only some of all the people who get flu, they were examine if it was seasonal flu or AH1N1, till now we know we have 1% died people of swine flu. You have to admit it is not normal if we take into consideration it took only 2 months - it's all about how quick it increases
