Absolutely football! First of all is I find it the most exciting on TV. Every game is important to the season. But more than that, I think its the level of design and all the intangibles in every play. Other sports don't compare in that way. Basketball, soccer and hockey have a common theme to them, that makes them more individual orientated. Every play is exciting in football because they stop, plan and attack. All 22 people on the field have a job each play to make the play happen. And they do it over again. Plus, all the intangibles on the field. Baseball is even more individualized than the others. I like most sports. Baseball is great in person. I pretty much only watch basketball during the tournament and the NBA playoffs. Soccer is like watching paint dry, and hockey has never appealed to me.

How can you say Hockey has common theme and make it sound like a kids game. Yet you say it doesn't appeal to you. Obviously you know nothing beyond what's in the press. Doesn't sports in general have a common theme? The whole point is to win?

If you don't like it that's fine but don't sit there and belittle what a lot of people consider a great sport. It takes more than one player to make a difference in this sport, granted a lot of individuals have been great but it's the set up, timing, puck control, hitting, faking the goalie and when to check at the right time.

Whoa, dude. I didn't be little it. I meant a common theme with basketball and soccer for having continuous action where you try to shoot or kick a ball of goal in to a net or goal. It goes back and forth in the struggle, football is different in that it stops each play and allows for more team strategy in that way. I wasn't saying anything bad about the sport, but I've never got into it. It doesn't do anything for me, sorry if that offends you somehow. May be you just misunderstood me?

HOCKEY = a quicksilver ballet on ice

HOCKEY = energy, passion, strategy, endurance, grace and strength

HOCKEY = blood on the ice

At least that's how I see it :? :P

All sports have that strategy, they do it on the fly instead of stopping after each play to regroup.

Obviously you can do quite a bit more with the stoppage and you can do more with more players. Don't tell me you can't see the difference. I like that about football. I understand there is strategy in the other sports, it just plays a different, if not bigger, role in football.

    That's where we differ.

I think the stoppages hinder the flow of the game. Gimme a Basketball or Soccer game that is constantly free flowing any day.

Don't get me wrong. I love Football NFL and NCAA.

  • Footy a.k.a. football a.k.a. soccer.

I used to be a supporter i.e. going to all home games and away games when I could, but now class myself more as a fan. It's incredibly painful at the moment doing this as my team is Liverpool.
It's gonna be a glorious day...

    Football...NFL and Colege

What I love about football is the rivalries, no other sport can boast rivalries like football.

if i had to pick only one team in one sport to watch, it would be the Buckeyes in college football.

beyond that it's tough. if i had to rank the rest it would be

Bears or Bulls depending on the day
