I think it's his best album in a long time. I REALLY like it a lot. I haven't had a chance to grab it yet but it's on the top of my "vinyl I need" list.

Unfortunately, no. Enjoy the show! I haven't listened to them in ages, but I bet they're a fun act.

Noooooo. :frowning: I have been resisting concert ticket purchases to save money. I have absolutely nothing on deck right now. It's killing me, but I need to do it for a bit. Although I am checking back a lot to see if more tix will be released for The Cure, but it's sold out at the moment. I know some shows will come along that I HAVE to see, so I can't be buying tix willy-nilly right now.

    Had a busy week, vinyl-wise:

-The Dandy Warhols: "Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia" (Green & Purple Double LP)
-Low: "Drums and Guns" (my favorite album of theirs, $12 on Amazon, couln't pass it up)
    -Needtobreathe: "Daylight" reissue
-Needtobreathe: "The Heat" reissue (Double LP, with Side D Etched Vinyl)
-Bruce Springsteen: "The River" (Used, $2.99, in great shape! Had to get it after seeing him a few week ago)
-Temple of the Dog (Music on Vinyl edition)

I've only had time to spin the Low album and the first Needtobreathe, but especially looking forward to listening to the Dandy and TOTD

    Sting- Nothing Like the Sun

I got that on vinyl a month ago. I had it on cassette when I was 7 years old when it came out. I even got it for $5 which is not bad for a 2 LP album.

George Harrison - Cloud Nine $9.99
The Police - Ghost In The Machine $9.99
The Who - The Who By Numbers $9.99
Electric Light Orchestra - Eldorado $4.99

Wow, Tim Hecker, eh? I went to high school with him and his sister, knew him well enough. I even went on kind of a date with him once. I am not a fan of his music (although only sampled a bit of it some years ago, so I actually don't really know that..... i can't stand electronica though, so chances are slim that i would find much up my alley), but it's pretty cool that he's made a success of himself. The weird thing is that as far as I knew he had no big interest in music back then, or at least not that he ever spoke about. If he was messing around and experimenting with that stuff in high school, he must have been doing it secretly in his bedroom or something!

Its more drone, but some does have electronic flourishes. He made an album win an Icelandic church for its pipe organ. Its called Ravesdeath 1972. Worth checking out. Or Check out Dropped Pianos. Its th demo version of Ravesdeath done on a piano and some looping software.

    V. cool story though.
