I'm, going to a record show on Sunday, hoping to find some nice gems there amongst all the overpriced dealers that show up. Hopefully I can fill in the gaps in my Neil Young collection among other things.
I want this too, such a great album and the artwork is brilliantly trippy. What condition is your's in, including the sleeve? I see it around at my local stores occasionally, but it's usually quite beaten up...
My condition is good, not mint. The sleeve shows a little wear but there is no tears or water damage. The record is a little crackly for the first couple of songs on the first side only, that must have got played the most or dropped the most. Still a good bye
Grinderman 2:
A very good week! A local record shop was having 20% off, this came with large booklet, Poster and CD.
This came shipped from Amazon US at a great price, 4LP set. So stoked to have this.
And....finally I get my hands on this bad boy! Have listened to it twice and fuck it sounds great. This is my favorite Pearl Jam album, listening to it on vinyl after so long of only having the CD, MP3 versions is like candy for the ears. I don't think PJ have bettered this, the rocker/punk songs like Hail Hail, Lukin and Habit have a great guitar snarl and punch that you can't help but feel energised off. The slower numbers like Off He Goes and Sometimes are just sublime, Present Tense is fucking epic! And, it had Jack Iron's on drum's who, in my opinion brought a real groove and freshness to their tunes. All round greatness!
Rage Against the Machine- 20th Anniversary
Red Hot Chili Peppers- Californication
Incubus- Morning View
Incubus-Make Yourself (was shipped to me Nov, 23rd, so I'm still waiting for it)

I dont own a record player but bought the following for my sister for Christmas yesterday:
Neil Young - Decade
The Best of the Allman Brothers Band
The Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks
Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young - Deja Vu
The very Best of Chuck Berry
Led Zeppelin IV
Led Zeppelin Houses of the Holy
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Some of the sleeves are a little beat up but the vinyls themselves look new. Got all these for under $40!
Are there any picture discs that sound good? I have Lateralus an it's the noisiest record in my collection, counting my old grungey ones. So much hiss. I do have one from System of a Down that's better, but I've never heard of picture disc being among the best sounding presses.
Got this coming soon. Hope the wifey let's me have an early xmas.
I have that coming soon, too. Can't wait to spin it.

I don't have a picture but I picked up 2 of my favourite albums of all time on vinyl on the weekend & am reminded how much I LOVE vinyl!! I got: PJ Harvey's "Too Bring You My Love" & "4-Track Demos" + I got Neil Young's "Rust Never Sleeps".
So, all this has reminded me I must get back into buying vinyl butttttt I always get stopped by the fact that, tbh, I mostly listen to my music on my phone on the bus to work or driving around etc so if I go back to buying vinyl, how do I then get a soft copy into my computer to put on my phone? I've googled it & see many instructions but would appreciate any 'info for dummies' from folk here. TIA.

I've seen her live twice. Once in London at Shepherds Bush Empire(YAY!) & once here. So great!!!! She was my favourite artist for years before I got on this PJ train. So my top 2 artists are PJ & PJH.
Anwyay, if anyone has any tips on the vinyl to soft copy thing will be great!!

Hi, well there are a couple of different methods, some turntable's you can get now have a USB port that you can copy the vinyl to a computer or such device, I have never tried this but I'm sure it would be rather simple. Also quite a few records these days have a download code or a CD inside the vinyl packaging so you can have a soft copy too.
Otherwise sometimes it's nice to just have a certain piece of music on vinyl and that's the only way you can listen to it, that makes it a bit special and more enjoyable.

Thanks for your input. I've noticed some albums giving you the free download with vinyl purchase & think that's FAB!! I don't want to(can't afford) to buy a new turntable + my turntable's fine so yeah, working on this....
