I think the Red Sox 04 Series ending the drought gives them the edge over the Yanks.
Cardinals come in ahead of the Phillies, no question, as NL team of the decade.
that makes them the team of 2004. Not the decade
The city of BOSTON had 6 World Championships and lost 1 between 3 teams, Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots.

Not in my mind. The Phillies have been great the last few years, but the Cardinals have been one of the best teams almost every year.
7 division titles, more than twice as many as the Phills
8 playoff series victories
The Phillies were crap for the first half of the decade.
might wanna think about that again. do a little research before posting again.
and i am not saying it's definitely the phils....just can't say there is no question
Why think about it again? The Cardinals have the better reg season record, more postseason victories, more division titles, the same amount of pennants and WS wins, and just as much, if not more, individual hardware(add 3 more to the list this year).
Of course, there's room for debate, but what else you wanna compare?

5 years of this decade, the phils had the better record.
5 years of this decade, the cards had the better record.
the post season appearances and division titles are a little skewed because they play in different divisions. i mean the cards won the central division with 83 wins in 06. the phils had 85 or 86 and didnt even make the playoffs.
so, same amount of pennants, and world series victories, same amount of better seasons. i think this is a lot closer than saying there is "no question."
