    It reminds me of Jim Schwartz asking his defense to carry him off the field when Buffalo won in Detroit. I'm a Bills fan, and that was embarrassing. You can't ask for that type of stuff. I might actually boo him from my living room.

    I'm a Sox fan and I really think Ortiz is going to be in for surprise.
    Jeter played the game the right way and never asked for a standing ovation from Fenway.
    Ortiz never knows when to shut his big mouth.
    He's been a great hitter for a long time who actually learned to hit to all fields as he grew older, but he was still just a DH.
    I would be really surprised if the Yankee fans gave him what he wanted.

    Without comparing Jeter to Ortiz, there is absolutely zero chance I would give him a golf clap, let alone a standing ovation. Hell of a hitter, but a grade A jackass. Will miss hating him as part of the rivalry, but I have nothing to cheer him for. You hit the nail on the head with his mouth.

    You think Jeter would ever have barged into Girardi or Torre's press conference to argue about 1 (!!!!) RBI based on a scorers decision?

    So yeah, I guess I compared Jeter to Ortiz.

    haha, having this argument in the MLB thread. I can't stand Bautista but I didn't have a problem with that specific situation.

    I also think he's a world class asshole for telling an entire race how they should act.

    And just to add, Bautista had an incredibly classy response.
