So C.C. tweaked his knee. That explains why Girardi took him out early?

When did Refsnyder go to Toronto? Did I know about this and forget?
Refsnyder was traded to the Jays on July 23 for minor leaguer Ryan McBroom. He had been DFA'd to make roster space after the Frazier trade.

I'm going to the game tonight with work people who are Yankees fans.  I'll be wearing an Indians hat

Those jerseys for Players Weekend are silly. I don't care what the rest of the league does, the Yankees do not put names on the back of their jerseys.  I do credit Gardner, Holliday and Bird. The only smart ones that can now claim they are the only ones in the history of the Yankees to get their (real) names on the back of a Yankees jersey.

That being said, I imagine if Jeter were still playing, he would have left his with no name as it should be.  There's some things you just don't mess with.

Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Did you notice the strike zone seemed to get bigger on him just before the all-star break and he started chasing pitches because of it?

He has definitely been chasing more pitches. He has also been missing pitches in the zone

This is why they have a deep bullpen.

He was chasing last year, they did a lot of off season work and something "clicked" this year and he stopped chasing, well now he's chasing again...

None of the other guys realized this. Here's a guy who has a real nickname and was smart enough to realize the implications while many of the other ones are complete reaches.   I mean - All Rise?   That's not a nickname.  It's a terribly gimmicky hr call by a terrible announcer.

I think the Yankees are 21-28 vs teams with records under .500

He's probably like JayZ and owns 1% or something.

2% but sounds like he is running the day to day baseball operations. Jay z was less than 1%. Granted at the end of the day jeter has absolutely no say
