Does AROD have it in him to hit 4 more home runs for 700? I doubt it he's hardly had a chance to start.....I think even he knows the end is near.

    Peace

he needs to get a phone # from sloppi.

Alex hit his 500 and 600th hr on Aug 4. He has great numbers against Colon. I know they were mostly in the past. But wouldn't it be great if he had a 4 hr day today?

If ARod can't get into the lineup against a pitcher he owns. He's never going to play

Tex retiring. Big fan. Crazy how little turnover the yanks have had at 1st in my lifetime. Bird's turn...

Damn that was fast. I was thinking to myself that I wouldn't mind if the hit by pitch would keep him out for awhile

Well since he's playing out the rest of the season. It looks like I didn't jinx him

I think it's a mild-surprise. His body has taken a beating the last few seasons.

He had a real nice career.

Yeah, he hasn't been able to stay on the field consistently for a long time. Contract is up. I imagine he's tired of always being injured.

Nice win last night. Go figure we can beat Cleveland but get swept by Tampa a week ago.

Sanchez hitting well means even less at bats for Alex. Less than zero

The only good to possibly come out of the press conference tomorrow is if they fire Girardi and hire Alex as a player manager.

I hope they actually let him play. Haven't been this sad about a player retiring since Don Mattingly. #Yankees

I remember in 2009 I believe when he need 2 hr and 7 rbi to continue his streak of consecutive 30/100. And in the final game against the Rays he got it. I could see his last game being like that to get to 700

Yes. Let him fucking play. You already threw in the towel by selling at the deadline, put him in the damn lineup.
