I'm sure Javy Lopez does suck, especially the catcher who last played in 2006 and turns 40 this November.

As Iast night, Jesus montero is on absolute fire, 3-3 today, 8 for his last 9, batting .420 in july and most impressively has not struck out in 10 days.

Yeah, pretty sad. Although I read some pretty crazy war stories about him over the past 16 hours or so. Quite the soldier.

So River Ave Blues posted a thought today. You think there is any shot Girardi leaves for the Cubs after this season? They don't have anything to offer the Yanks can't match or greatly exceed from a baseball standpoint, but it is home for him. Interesting thought. I would be sad to see him go, I don't really see it happening though.

Yeah, I mean they are far from a contender so I don't see him jumping into that but if he could help turn them around, it would be one hell of a story.

the only way joe leaves is if he is forced out. no way i can see him leaving a world champion team for the cubs

    terrible decision by posada
  • Posada is a trainwreck tonight, not that he's normally Johnny bench back there. He got a big break on the play at the plate. the throw beat Butler by 10 feet, but Jorge never tagged him. Another fine showing by The Men In Blew It. Then he nearly gets Tex killed
