    2 bad debuts for Yankee pitchers today. I thought De Paula already made his debut. I honestly thought the Tigers were going to do this yesterday against Eovaldi. You can't predict baseball.

    I know I'm getting ahead of myself. But what if Alex continues to hit this way for the rest of the year. And the Yankees make it to the WS? He doesn't play the field anymore. So he will not start in 3 or 4 of the games? And he's not a great pinch hitter.

    I don't think so, assuming he cut out the errors. His potential for saved runs on defense may be a bigger gap then the offensive drop off, especially since arod probably doesn't play a very passable 3rd anymore

    It just seems like he isn't one of those sly older pitchers who can use his brain to get guys out. The stuff is gone and he doesn't have enough placement to get by.
