Why the hell would you leave a PJ show early because you have no energy? Esp. on Halloween in Philly? Something would clisk in my mind and say

    1.) Final show at Spectrum
    2.) Its fuckin Pearl Jam!!!
No offense but that was a self- douche move.
    This too shall pass.....

I'm not saying anything bad just that I wouldnt ever leave a show early unless it was a real emergency. Glad you had a fun time though in Philly.

So I'm assuming you left before the second encore and missed Whip It, Got Some, Crown Of Thorns, Satan's Bed, Sweet Lew, Do the Evolution, Better Man, Smile, Alive, Rockin' In The Free World, Yellow Ledbetter, and The Star Spangled Banner.

I could see leaving when you hear the first notes of Ledbetter as being somewhat remotely understandable, although even that makes no sense to me, but I can see that happening. Not saying how someone should or shouldn't behave at a show, just not seeing how someone can miss this many songs at an epic show, especially when all the rumours pointed to an even longer show. But if you're happy with you're decision, all the power to you!

I hate sweet Lou!....i have heard all the others live but Crown of Thorns....and the Devo thing was cool..i saw the youtube clip.....i'm good with my decision....i felt too shitty to enjoy myself and my suck seat made it easier to leave....If they come to MSG or Boston i will make it up to myself! ;)
  • I left early on Night 2. I had floor seats in front of the board but the sound was absolutley horrible. It seems like people sitting close to the stage and off to the sides had a much better audio experience than I did. My girlfriend was feeling sick and she absolutely hates the song "Betterman" so we took it as a sign to get the hell out of there. We missed the last 3 songs but I don't regret it. I'm getting too old for these big venue concerts. It was a total bro-fest in that place.
  • dude i totally hear you. i completely shot my wad on friday and was tired as hell on saturday and had 300 level seats as well. i didn't leave early but it wasn't nearly as great of a show for me as friday night. i could barely sing along and fist pump too. it kinda sucks because saturday was such a legendary show and over 40 songs but friday was fucking kick ass.

hey man, it was fun meeting you and your wife night 2. sorry it didn't work out as well for the last night...just so you can look back at your total experience and are cool with it. and from reading your post, it sounds like you are very cool with the whole week experience (except for the Philly chants).

have a great rest of the year and hope to hook up during the spring tour. I hear the chowder is exceptional in your parts.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
    ride"!

why the heck would you leave early? just don't get that. but then again you also went to tony luke's and thought it was good?!?! born and raised in south philly -- i certainly know better than to visit the tourist traps. try d'alessandro's on oregon avenue next time around. i'll guarantee it's better.
