  • If you mean full blown like the riot act tour than i dont think so. I think for the rest of the bands career we are looking at mini tours that are strung together, shorter legs seem to be better for the band and eds voice. but yes i definitely think they are touring next yearr

  • I hope they tour next year. They HAVE to come somewhere in Ohio, preferably Cleveland or Columbus. I'm not able to make it out of the state for the shows, so this is the only way I can see the band.

Well I heard a rumor that they're taking a break for their 20th Anniversary, BUT that was from a European mag. They've GOT to tour next year, PLEASE!! Northeast!!

I don't mind if they do Northeast AGAIN, but please please please do some proper shows in Texas.

I also think we won't see full blown tours like we did at the end of the 90's, early 00's. Back when you'd get two full legs of an NA tour, and a Euro/Australia leg on top of that.

I think were looking at minitours nearly every year, instead of larger tours every 2 or 3 years.

Probably prevents the band from having to stay away from home too long at a time.

Some NYC shows would be perfect. I don't see the rumored 4 night MSG thing happening, but I would love 2 shows at Jones Beach. Not the best sound, but it would be fun.

i hink they'll play some twentieth anniversary shows...a real celebration... but not a full blown tour. Well, except ,perhaps, the rumoured trip to South America. I'd almost bet there'll be side project stuff...Green River shows are now possible again and Ed solo would be sold out for sure.

I think they've got a really good thing going on getting us all excited about some exclusive dates, us making travel arrangements and commitments .... only to announce more dates a few months later that are usually right in one's backyard....

"Well I've just gotta go to Europe!"
    "Oh, they're playing in Chicago?"
    "Oh, they're playing in Seattle!?!?!?"

The 12 hour flight would be worth getting rid of him for griping about 1.5 hours of driving.

If they do tour, would love for another CT show. Maybe 2, but I doubt 2 would ever happen.

I don't think we'll ever see a "Full Blown" tour again from PJ ... even to the extent of the '06 tour.

My guess is that we will get shows in 2010 & it will be similar to what we got this year - 20 shows or so in larger cities with a few smaller cities getting shows in between. My guess is that the north east/mid west will get most of the shows and it will look something like this: NYC x3, Boston x2, DC, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cleveland, Toronto, and Montreal. I think the south will also get a hand full of shows in places like Atlanta, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston and Denver.

Anything could happen though. We should find out by March or April ...

You would hope we would know by March/April. We didn't know about half the US tour dates until about three months before hand at best. Chicago was announced first in May, and we didn't hear about the other dates until July. Some shows were announced even later. The Calgary festival was announced about 3 weeks before hand I believe. But who knows.

Thank you for that info. I never knew that. I hope so. After last year's show, which was my first of any band, I've wanted them to come again. I hope it would be summer time again.

The closest in my entire life for travelling when I've seen PJ was when I lived in Victoria.

It's 30 minutes from victoria to the ferry. You have to get there 30 minutes early to get one. So theres an hour. The ferry is about an 1 hour 40 minutes, and then about a 40 minute drive to Vancouver.

So thats 3 hours 20 minutes? Actually It just dawned on my the Calgary show I saw this summer was my shortest commute at about 2.5 hours driving.

Add another 2 hours to that vancouver time for what we used to spend going from victoria to seattle (and even more for victoria to the gorge).

Longest commute ever for a PJ show was just after I moved to Edmonton in 06. We still had our gorge tix, so we drove from Edmonton to the Gorge. About 14 hours I think. Also drove from Victoria to Missoula in '98, but that was part of another trip, so I don't really count it.

1.5 hours though, thats a walk in the park.
