Eating and browsing in Boston?

Taking the girlfriend there next week. We are staying at the Sheraton. Anyone have any food suggestions? We like Indian,Thai, Persian, BBQ & Steak, but are open to most others. We are Planning on going to Abe and Louie's before the Swell Season show at Berklee. Also, what is a good neighborhood to browse...any good "indie"…
