It makes up for Harrison being held 90% of the game, again. And that one play did not make the game. How about the goal line stand? Scared to run the ball against the Steelers Defense with the best back in the NFL? We'll see in 3 weeks how the Bengals play in Pittsburgh, especially with Polamalu this time. Don't see the Steelers dominating the game only to gift wrap it and give it away in the fourth quarter again.

We're plenty happy with Rodgers. As long as his line blocks (which has been a problem at times this year) he's fine. If old man Favre was behind that line he'd be in a wheel chair right now.

    Hmmmmmmmmm........nope and that's a fact.

Let me break this down for you.

First off I grew up watching number 4 become one of the greatest players to ever play in the NFL. I saw in person the 1996 NFC championship game and also the the snow game in December vs Seattle. I cried watching that Monday nite game from Oakland. I will always remember those moments and so many more. But I will also remember how selfish he was and still is. And how much its all about him. I blame past Packers head coach Mike Sherman alittle bit. He started letting Brett's ego get to big. Letting him call his own plays and throwing interceptions when he shouldn't have. He became this I don't wanna listen to anybody else but me type of player. He blew that NFC game with the Giants with that attitude. Any Packer fan will tell you that. And also we got tired the last few years of will he come back or not game that he played. And so when he retired or so we thought and came back to play for the Jets. We were shocked and sad but kinda happy for him. Cause we knew we had moved on and he had also. Then when he retired again and came back and signed with the Vikequeens I mean Vikings. Well yes that pist alot of us Packer fans off. But I can tell you that we love Rodgers and know he's dam good when not getting sacked. He knows the system and has showed he is the new leader. Brett just has to let it go but next week we see him again. I am very curious on how the GB crowd will treat him when he runs onto the field. I wish him well but I'm glad he's not in a Packer's jersey anymore.
  • It was great to see the rest of the world recognize hm as human again. They're still the class of the North, and possibly the NFC, seeing how NO almost dumped one to Miami.

Next week will go one of two ways. Either everything will go right for MN like last time, or, MN will fall behind and they'll put it in Favre's hands. Either way, I don't see Minnesota losing that game.

Cheeseheads are so bitter, it's hilarious. The pick was all on Taylor btw. Since you guys think he sucks so much the Pack should win easily next week, put up or shut up, you are already 0-1 against the Vikes this year.

Realistically, the Vikings are, in all likelihood, going to beat the Packers in Green Bay next Sunday. After their defensive show on that Monday night game I just don't see how Green Bay's O-Line can stop them.

That said, on the off chance that the Vikings make it all the way this year it will be on the backs of two career Packers: Favre and Longwell.

Let me recap that last sentence: It takes a Green Bay Packer in the two most important positions of the team for the Vikings to have a fighting chance.

I see that and I don't even care for professional sports...

What an incredibly dumb statement. Favre is clutch. Hell, he's won 2 games in their last drive twice THIS YEAR as a 60 year old. One was with a few seconds left. What the fuck is this "unclutch" shit?

It's easy to be a hater. He won the game though. That tripping call was bullshit. The man only has so much magic he can produce each game. The refs fucked him.

I can't believe this thread is this deep and no one has mentioned Favre's WEAK attempts at tackling on both the pick and the fumble ... legend or not, you have to make a better effort than that when the game is on the line ...

Favre is still one of the top 10-12 QBs in the league right now, the Favre haters have to concede that ... but, as someone who is not involved with the Packers or Vikings ... at THIS POINT in their career, I'd rather have Rodgers.

I'll agree with you on almost everything. the lack of effort to stop those turnovers for going back made me a little sick as a lifelong Favre fan.

the only thing i will disagree with you is the taking Rodgers over Favre. Long term, yeah Rodgers is the way to go. But the Vikings are looking at short term and the best person to get that team over the hump and into the big show is Favre. Hell, if they told me tomorrow that Favre would replace Palmer here in Cincy for the rest of the year, i would be all for it.

Favre is clutch, Palmer is getting there.

In high school or college (maybe) I would agree with this. But you need to understand this...Favre wasn't destroyed down the field because he basically conceded the td and the defensive guys spared him. Believe me, if he had tried to make a serious tackle, those guys would have laid into his ass. Favre was only running down the field in hopes to make the runner change his path and give his Viking teammates time to run him down from behind. His job wasn't to tackle the guy. He wanted no part of that. It's hard for most people to understand that, but Favre is a legend and he was treated with respect. If that had been Mark Sanchez or Tony Romo, that motherfucker would have been laying on the ground.

you bring up a good point. I do think they showed him some respect there, by not laying him out. and in turn he did not make a serious play on the runner.

oh c'mon, he's a big boy and he gets hit all the time ... on one of the plays, he just fell to the ground untouched, a foot away from the guy with the ball.

I'm just saying, if you're going to be a part of two turnovers that could cost your team the game (I know, not necessarily his fault), make a better effort on trying to stop them scoring.

Remember Roethlisberger against the Colts in the playoffs a few years back? That's a leader (and I hate the Steelers).

It's hard for an average sized human who weighs 170 and runs a 40 in 5.8 seconds to understand that these D-Linemen weigh are 6'4 270 pounds and run a 4.5 40 plus they bench over 550 pounds and are constructed similar to cement. You don't just "tackle" a son of a bitch like that when you're 56 years old. You hope your teammates do.

At the end of the day, Favre gets to wake up and walk and live to play another game. That hero shit would have gotten him hurt.

The stakes were MUCH higher and Big Ben was in his first or second year. I promise you Ben won't be making those plays when he's been playing for 20 years....unless it's the difference between going to the Superbowl or not. This game didn't really matter that much to get hurt over. And that tackle you speak of was WEAK. Thanks for that shoelace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just watched the plays again ... sorry, I'd want a little more effort form my QB on these LONG run backs.

again, I love Favre, what he brings to the game, etc etc ... but, if I was a Vikings fan, I'd be annoyed.

I'll have to disagree with you there about being the class of the NFC. The Saints have had impressive wins over good teams so far this season. Your Vikings have done well to this point but if the Saints and Vikings end up meeting in the playoffs, the Vikes don't have a chance. The Saints have a powerful offense that is hard to stop and we have probably the best defense we've had in years. As the season goes on, Farve will get tired and will not be as effective at QB. The past few years have shown this. Either way, best of luck to you and maybe we'll meet in the playoffs!

    Go Saints!
  • Just watched the video again jimed14. Yeah, that effort was weak dick. I didn't realize Favre had a clean shot at him from behind. Pretty sorry effort. I retract my earlier statements. He should have made that tackle.

Oh, the Cowboys are the class of the NFC BITCHEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully we can trade for 2 CB's and a FS and maybe develop a pass rush, possibly even a new head coach and a QB that wouldn't choke before that date.

We're still kicking your asses though.
