Uh oh, Doc Just said Helter Skelter on the hockey broadcast...Maybe a sign I should send a letter.

you are aware that manson isnt in prison cause he killed anyone, right??

Yes, I understand why he is there. I think he did kill people (not the family murders, others) but they didn't have the evidence and I think orchestrating the murders and having others do it is far more interesting than say a man killing his wife and lover in bed.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

oh i agree tis far more interesting that he manipulated others to do his bidding. i often wonder the mindset of people who allow themselves to be used that way. what the hell were they thinking?? were they even thinking at all?? he must have been as charismatic as all get out. murdering an 8 months pregnant woman with zero compassion. thats just absolute cold detachment. possibly even evil.

possibly evil? oh boy the power of evil and in evil is so great- these people embrace this power- feed on it
and this power of evil its just there all the time- can you feel it?

definitely a battle of good and evil maybe now more than ever.

But am I interested in serial killers? no - won't muddy my mind with anything hideous and besides I probably would never sleep again.

Ann Rule has written some great books about serial killers. She is a crime reporter and actually spent time with some of them. I also just finished Helter Skelter, good read.

my spanish teacher had a crush on him...yeah she was a waste of a human being

To me, The Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez is probably one of the most disgusting, and horrifying killers.

Norm, reading this again I now want to ask...did your teacher have a crush on Ramirez during his spree or post-maniacle slayings?

evil is a human construct i dont subscribe to. we as a species do some shockingly heinous things. i see the predatory actions of serial killers as nothing more than a primitive instinct surfacing without inhibition.

Yes, I guess that comes down to ones basic beliefs- I believe we are more than science- We have a spirit. I believe in the power of evil and good. I know I am way to sensitive to even think I can read, learn, or embrace actions of serial killers because I believe evil always wants into minds and spirits. A replaying of that which is horrid -a morbid curiosity. I can't succumb for my own peace of mind.

I am with the investigative side of Serial Killers, the mindset of a SK and what leads them to getting caught. One my favorite shows is The Next 48 etc. I must tell you about one the most haunting movies about a Serial Killer and that was Russian Andrei Chikatilo and the movie about him CITIZEN X. The movie and the things he did to the Russian ctizens were totally scary.

    Peace

yeah he's a sick piece of shit.
i remember watching a show on this fuckin guy.
i just dialed up his name online here and read a few things.
says he killed 52 boys and girls, possibly more.

hopefully russia is swifter than the usa when it comes to putting a mother fucker out of their misery.
    and it saves tax dollars.

i love the almighty crack of the 357.

You do know that's just how he was executed...Citizen X and he seemed to have no problem with that quick execution.

I think crazy is kind of close- I think the power of evil can be intoxicating- I think many are vulnerable which we are seeing alot these days with crimes of opportunity.
I might be alone here- if you allow your mindset to be with a killer just for a moment-I mean truly imagine -you can feel that power- Its what keeps them going- it is evil and I have to keep my mind away from it.

well we really didn't know what he looked like until he got caught...but once he was on the news, she admitted to us, during class, that she had a crush on him...now we already knew this woman was a pretty sleazy person to begin with but this just sealed the deal...it's the people like this that really scare me...if she had been around manson back in the day she probably would have joined in ;)

There was a guy who killed a lot of kids in my county back in the 70's. They call him "The Oakland County Child Killer". They have never caught who this person is. There is still a police task force searching. Well, about 10 years ago I was told a story by a guy I was dating. He called me from as house and said it was this killer's house. He said that the guy raped him when he was young but didn't kill him and now he visits him??? I didn't believe him and the task force was thinking this rapist was from another area around here. Well, in today's newspaper it said they think it is a guy from the city this guy had called me from and said it was this rapist's home. I just got off the phone with the task force and told them the story this guy told me.
The guy I was dating lived in the area all the kids were kidnapped from and is the right age. I feel if he is brazen enough to tell me such a story, then tell it to the task force. I waited til now cuz they kept insisting the person was from an different area.
The cops did tell me today that it wasn't them that put out the story in today's paper. In other words, that isn't where their investigation is going. None the less, they took my info and my name and number.
That's a lot. Years ago, a 5 yr. old girl was taken from her home asnd raped so bad she needed coreective surgery. I knew who did it and when I called the cops they ignored me. I was right and it pissed me off. The girl is 35 now but with permanent problems and this guy never was held responsible cuz the statue of limitations had ran out by the time they knew who did it, even though I told them immediately!
    Save room for dessert!

i agree. you allow yourself to get caught up in the thoughts of these killers and you do feel a surge of power. ive felt it myself. but the overwhelming feeling ive gotten is revulsion that these people prey on the populace. and it could be anyone. you could be watched for days or weeks and never know it. i know right from wrong and that line will never be crossed. but still this dark side of the human creature is so very very interesting and shouldnt be ignored. it should be acknowledged embraced and challenged... for knowledge is power.
