Considering Fall back time later that evening, Saturday Night,Halloween Night, and last night at the Spectrum
Sucks to say it but with the Phils in the World Series and with it being Game 3 at home in Philly......the boys are gonna screw us so they can watch the end of the game. I'm pissed I'm gonna have to miss some of the games due to going to the shows. Let's go Phils bring home another championship!!!!!!!!!.

You may be right, I think thats what Ed mighta did for his 1st Philly solo show in June, Lakers/Magic were playing at the same time
BUT, A BIG BUT.....its only game3, no champagne breakfast that night
I'd be shocked if the 10/31 show lived up to hype.
ditto
Agreed.. The show will prob last 2 hours 20 min. with a lot of disappointed people.
I for one will not be disappointed because i am not expecting anything out of the ordinary.
I think it is pretty cool that i will be coming from Nashville to Philly while a world series is going on. City is going to be pretty wild. I just hope they go up 3-0 Saturday night so the after parties will be that much sweeter.
I believe this show will be truly great and long. Just doing the math...

I doubt that the game will have anything to do with the length of the show. They have a job to do and they always deliver. That is why I spend my time and money at as many PJ shows as I can. They won't end the show early to watch the game, never.

Normally id agree, these kind of shows usually never live up to the hype/expectations. But the last nite in LA of the 4 night stand gives me hope, that was a pretty sick show, that gives me hope theyre gonna pull out all the stops for the final philly show.
Ill be surprised (and disappointed) if its not at the very least 2 1/2 hours

Thanks! PLUS they'll have weeded out all their more "commercial" songs by then... so, hopefully we'll get a really unique set too.

anyone that thinks this is just going to be anouther run of the mill show is silly.
the place is going to be ROCKING. plus it's a heavy 10c show. i expect nothing put a show that people talk about for years to come.
A lot of people here LOVE setting themselves up for disappointment. Not sure why so many are so sure that this is going to be the show to end all shows or that they are going to do a special Halloween set. My guess is it will be a standard (awesome) show with a couple covers and maybe a guest or two (but not Bruce or whatever). They'll probably add a song or two to the encore to mark the occasion.
I think the really epic shows (regardless of whether that distinction comes from set list, length or set or something else entirely) come when the guys are just FEELING it and get up in front of exactly the right crowd. They're not something that can be predicted and mapped out in advance.
I suggest you step out on your porch...run away my son...see it all...oh see the world // I wait on the porch...hoping someday I'll be let in

Can this show exceed Cincinnati '06 for hype that can never be lived up to? On November 1, we will have some Cincy '06 vs Philly 10/31/09 threads popping up on here.
1/12/1879, 4/8/1156, 2/6/1977, who gives a shit, ...
One trend I have noticed over the past few tours it that the truly great shows are never the ones that you suspect will be great (in terms of crazy setlists) but that shows in the big cities are always solid shows (Boston & MSG in 08, the LA shows this year, for example).
Another trend I have noticed is that it is VERY RARE to see those really long 3 hour sets any more. They just don't happen. Period. We could have had one last year at Boston 2, but for the strict Municipal Guidelines. But then again, you never know. Even when Ed says that they will break curfew, they often only play until 11:15 or 11:20.
That said, the big X Factor that this show has is that it is the LAST SHOW EVER at the Spectrum. I could see them wanting to say goodbye to the venue with a truly epic show. Then again, see my first point.
I think we'll see a solid set list with a few rarities. It will go until 11:15 or so and we'll get about 31 songs. Is that Epic?

I think with all the ten club members that were able to get tickets the place will be on fire. Show may not be 4 hours but what the hell. It's going to be a crazy time and It's my only show this year so I don't care if they play Jeremy 26 times.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

I think the REAL action is on how many times Ed references "JC Dobbs" over the course of the 4 Youzeapalooza shows. I'm going to go with a solid 14.5.
