When you are in tough tough times, which pearl jam song(s) makes you feel better?
For me :) It is Present Tense or Force Of Nature, Excluding the 2 obvious ones : Alive and Release Me

    Present Tense got me through the loss of my father...when they played it at MSG 08 I i was literally in a trans.

    after break ups, Black is played a lot,

    when i just can't fall asleep i turn on All Those Yesterdays...i usually use it when i'm restless at night due to something like a break up...

    I really don't listen to music to get me through any tough times at all if anything music makes me really sad when i'm bummed out i'd rather go for a walk thru the forest or beach or watch some sports ...

    Amongst The Waves has to be one of the most uplifting PJ songs ever.
    Also in a weird way, I Got Id also makes me feel better. I've been living the lyrics to the song for quite a long time already!

    i don't know why, but whenever a sentimental mood strikes me, i get a song stuck in my head and i listen to that song on repeat, then i tend to pick up my guitar and try to play it...that's how i mostly learn my songs...anywho that's usually how i get through a sentimental mood.

    That is a good question...
    There are so many for different reasons...
    Alive has always been an extremely powerful song for me. Since I have some deceased family members the song makes me feel as if I'm living for a purpose or maybe even for them since they can't do it on their own? Does that make sense?

    Also, Indifference makes me feel that things can't be as bad as they seem....

    Oh,and Porch makes me feel as if I can walk through a fuckin brick wall!
