I became a father for the 4th time on Aug 21 (a baby boy) ........ we have problem naming him, i need some advice :? my girlfriend (who is not a fanatic jammer) wants to name him Eddie.........although I kinda like the name it makes me feel like a kind of stalker.........as I said, my gf is not a huge PJ fan.....as I am :geek: this band means the world to me, songs have been one way of coping with bad times ....and good times too they've been around me for the last 18yrs +
Naming a child after your "idol" doesn't seem the right thing to do, but I can't say I don't like the name....
I'm confused here, please feel free to share your thoughts on this...........if you have any other suggestions you're more then welcome to share..........We just can't come to an agreement on this
Peace

What's the Edward/Eddie equivalent in Sweden? Is it Edward/Eddie? Edgar? For instance, when my grandma lived in Italy she used the name Maria, but when she came over to the US she was called Mary.

How about naming him anything already for God's sake. It's been 2 months. I certainly wouldn't name him after Ed though. That's just unoriginal and sort of sad.

There are some people here called Eddie but they mostly spell it Eddy, Edward is quite a common name in Sweden, but it looks like we'll go for Eddie as one of his first names (the reason is that his mother likes the name, the bonus is that my fave singer is called that)
