Funny how the game of baseball is. Lidge needs one more out, if he gets Damon it's 4-4 bottom 9th w/out Mariano coming into the game. If somehow the Phils get a run and win the game, the series is tied 2-2 with Cliff Lee and hometown momentum going for them. But Lidge became Lidge and we're now facing what we're facing. Don't worry, Philly, we had Papelbon meltdown in Boston this year several times.
Is it me or has the media been playing up the Stinkees a little too much? I mean the whole Pedro thing and "Who's Your Daddy" and then showing the Lidge montage of meltdowns last night, as well as Cole's recent struggles everywhere even before he threw the first pitch. I didn't see any video montage of Jaba or Phil Hughes melting down and they haven't been exactly lights out. Quite frankly, w/the exception of Damon and Jeter, most of the Stinkees hitting this WS hasn't exactly been stellar. I'm routing for you Phils!!! Ryan Howard has to get going (as does Rollins and Ibanez...and Ruiz for that matter). Remember 2004!!! Comebacks can be done!!!

I grew up in New York, never a big baseball fan though. I moved out west and people would ask me, "who's your favorite team, the Yankees, gotta be you are from NY." I tried to support this team seeing that 98% of my friends and family who live in NY are Yankee fans. However this year I've become a Yankee hater. I guess I'm just so sick of hearing about A-Rod and his celebrity bullshit and how cute Jeter is and how the Yankees can buy any player they want and how they are America's team. Get off your high horse already. Everytime I go on Facebook, everyone on there I know from NY has the "Go Yankees!" update 30 times a day. Enough already, we get the point, you like the Yankees, as do a million other people who seem to like the team that wins a lot. As a life long fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and not giving a shit about baseball, I now support the Phillies. Today I officially join the Yankee Haters! Proud to be a member.

I hear ya, stick to the plan...*It ain't over till it's over.* That's what I told a friend back in 2004 when the Yanks were up 3-0 on the Sox. What else was I going to tell him but in a week history was made.

I liked how later in his career, Espinoza went with the goggle look ...
