You'll get that everywhere regardless of the sport. That's what's known as sports talk radio.. Maybe we should create a baseball strategy thread next season to discuss various managerial moves.

meaning, everyone leaves their colors at the door and folks just talk baseball ... amen to that.

though I have no idea how to actually control that, I guess it's a good idea in theory.

I love baseball. If you guys want a nice little site that talks about all things baseball have you checked out the Dugout central?
    http://dugoutcentral.com/

Lots of colums by lots of people. They do have a good bit of yankees/red sox articles, but that is what drives people to the site. You'll also find articles on alll other teams and on hall of fame talk, all time best positions players etc.

Brent Mayne the former catcher started submitting articles there recently and he offers some good insite. I would not be surprised if he ends up a bench coach sometime down the road.

good in theory but if made into an actual thread it would be a disaster on here at least. to much hate for rival teams.

its unfuckingreal that i'm gonna be rooting for the phillies. i have to much hate towards yankees fans. i respect the team alot and respect everything George and stick Michael did for the franchise. its to bad the dickheads of the fanbase give a black eye to true yankee fans.mosts yankee fans that 30 and under tend to forget how much the yankees sucked in the 80s and in previous years. the yankees and the ny rangers are the only teams i really hate with a passion.

hey hey hey, what did the rangers ever do to your sorry (winless) isles team :)

but you are really going to root for your arch-division rival over the yanks? that would be like yankee fans rooting for the sox over the mets in a WS.

this is where mets fans have to nut up and just root for the city of NY.

i can't do it cause of the many elitists fucks in your fanbase. its ashame fans like you have to put up with them. you remember those 80's yankees when donnie baseball played in a ghost town of a stadium and those early 90's teams and alota young yankee fans don't. all they have is the 4 world series rings and always being in the playoffs.

Every team has fans that only start coming around when they win. Example: 2009 Phillies.

There are bad fans in every fanbase.

except for the mets,:lol:. I'm not denying that at all. but the 30 and under yankee fan is this worse. they are elitists and give a black eye to old time yankee fans who don't throw the 26 world series bs down other peoples throat. that's great your team won 26 world series, but its laughable if you were around for 4 of them. that's my problem with alota young yankee fans. root your ass off for your team but be thankful you weren't around for those 80's and early 90's teams or some of those 70's teams where they sucked.

I'm a Sox fan and I'll openly admit there were tons of fans, notably the pink hats, that came around only in 2003. To their credit, they got a huge dose of OUCH in the 2003 ALCS before they experienced 2004 Championship ... but still ... they were nowhere to be found between 92 and 98 or so.

The more this is coming to a head, I'm going to pull for the Phils over the Yanks ... as the dickishness of some of the Yankee clan (not on this board) has begun to emerge again ... note, if it was just based on my feelings towards the fans on this board, I'd be pulling for the Yankees ... easily.

I'm thankful I witnessed those teams in the 1990s. It was a lot easier and cheaper to go to games back then and even a Don Mattingly game-winning single in June 1991 when they were teasing fans with the .500 mark was stil exciting.

the met/phils rivalry hasn't been around 100+ years like the yanks/sox has. this hate with the phils only started a few years ago. the mets have more of a rivalry with the braves than the phils.

or your best friend could call you up two hours before game time and ask if you want to go to the game and you can walk up and get good loge seats half hour before first pitch. That was 1995 when Strawberry made his home debut and Jack McDowell beat Mussina.

haha, steve sax was one of my guys too. so was pat kelly. i was an SS/2ND base growing up, so i always loved and tried to "learn" from the yankee infield during my early years of playing.

hmmm, trying to learn from an early 90's yankee squad. maybe that is why i am in finance and not the majors right now :)
