State college was a long show but 50 best all time? NO chance.
My vote - Atlanta 1994
Do you think something like this would have to be a more mainstream thing? I mean voterwise? While I agree that the Atl was a great show...how many people outside the Jamily...(yes I said it!! In jest of course! ;-) ) would really know about this show even though it was a broadcast thing? I am thinking the 03 MSG or The Gorge might be it the more I think about it! And although you will always be a God in my eyes...I respectfully disagree!! btw...How are you Bro! ? :-)
Scotty my friend Atlanta 94 was braodcast all over the country on radio stations everywhere. Pearl Jam were at their peak and they ripped off a show to end all shows. Outside of the "jamily" do you think people were talking about State College? No way State College can be put in the same category as Atlanta 94, soldier field, Randalls etc. Is it up there? Yes! However shows from 2003 just dont stack up against shows from 94 or mid nighties in general. I think Relix will agree with me.
love you pal.
I feel like I just got the shit kicked out of me and tossed outside to be picked up with the garbage! This is why I asked your opinion...Cause I knew you would give me a straight answer...Just didnt think you would bitch slap me in the proccess!! HAHAHA...All kidding aside..I didnt look at it that way, and wasnt not aware that it had been broadcast outside the ATL area...Thank you for setting me straight!
My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12
Got to be Mansfield... How many bands have played a set before the opening act plays?

its going to be soldier field. while most of the others mentioned were great shows, magazines dont usually pick based on what you think was a great setlist or because eddie looked at you when he forgot the words to "wishlist."
pearl jams touring career, for better or worse, will always be defined in pop culture by their battle with ticketmaster and the soldier field show was the quintessential concert of that era.
plus, it was a kick ass show.
I agree with some of the earlier comments... while we think the setlists are rocking now, itll def be something in the first half of their career in my opinion, when they had more of an influence on pop culture.
Possibly even one of the Chilli Peppers, Nirvana, Pearl Jam concerts from the early 90's
Those who dance are called insane by those who dont hear the music
The upcoming issue of Relix magazine will feature a countdown of what they deem to be the 50 greatest rock and roll concerts ever.
And guess what: A Pearl Jam show is one of them!!!
I wonder which show????
and when does a gig become a concert?? ive been at more than a couple of gigs that totally blew my mind and i doubt theyll be on this list of supposed greatest ever.
