Yeah, I saw them in Manchester they were £10 if I remember rightly but I couldn't get to the merchandise stands after the gig, security made us go out of a back door from the venue.

Yeah they were £10 at the UK shows. I got one at Shepherd's Bush and it's on my car keys now. My fiancee was jealous so she bought one at the O2. It just seems like a perfect piece of merch considering how far people are willing to travel to see PJ play.

...sorry but who is st christopher and whats he got to do with the band?

Christopher is one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, and the patron saint of travelers. Medallions with his name and image are worn to show devotion to a certain saint and ask for that saint's prayers. They are frequently displayed in automobiles. In French a widespread phrase for such medals is "Regarde St Christophe et va-t-en rassuré" ("Look at St Christopher and go on reassured"); Saint Christopher medals and holy cards in Spanish have the phrase "Si en San Cristóbal confías, de accidente no morirás" ("If you trust St. Christopher, you won't die in an accident"). In Austria an annual collection for providing vehicles for the use of missionaries is taken up on a Sunday close to the feast of Saint Christopher, asking people to contribute a very small sum of money for every kilometre that they have traveled safely during the year.

  • St Christopher was dropped from the list of Saints in the Catholic Church in 1969. I think they determined him to have been a legend and had never really existed at all. With that in mind, I think the medals are actually a bit campy. It is kind of a send-up of the St. Christopher medal.
  • just bought one....I need a new keychain anyway. I'm sure the wife will be ok with it

Love this, got one at the show. My uber Catholic family is always looking for signs that I've conformed, so my mother was elated when I hung the Catholic trio over the archway in my living room -- until I pointed out the skateboards and sneakers. Now I can annoy her & my Grand Knight of the K of C brother with my St Christopher traveling with his geetar key chain!

Not exactly. He's still considered a saint (i.e. listed in the Roman Martyrology) just no recognised feast day.
