Fellow board members: my sincerest thanks

I just have to say that since I started coming here again as a result of the Backspacer buzz, I have been more than pleasantly surprised at this community. There have been quite a few instances where people on this board have gone out of their way to find help others out. There have even been a few extraordinary folks that have been ridiculously generous. Example: I had started a thread lookin for a special edition of a cd that I couldn't get here. One fellow board member in Australia (I'm in Canada) didn't just find the tracks of that edition, they went out and BOUGHT THE FRICKIN' THING, AND THEN SENT IT TO ME FREE OF CHARGE. No expectations for reimbursement, nothing in return. Now that is something special. Another board member went out and bought a dozen of the Spin magazine US special edition, and is sending it out to fellow board members, no charge, just wanted to do it.

This is not overstating it one bit when I say this board has really touched my heart and restored some faith previously lost in my fellow human being.

Many thanks, folks. I only hope I can live up to some of your example.

If any of you want to share a "good PJ samaritan" story, feel free.

This is one of my favs.. In a little town called Hemet lived a PJ fan that was determined to go see the Golden Gate Park show ( me) so I packed up three of me closest friends and we headed out to try to find impossible to find tickets to this show. We drove like 8 and a half hours, with still no tix. ( well not for me and my best friend Keith, but the other two already had their tix so they were good. So we get there like six hours early, after driving all night, and we start looking for tix for me and Keith.. I found one of the COOLEST pj fans EVER here. while on the hunt for a person with spare tix and combination beer run I ran into this Guy named Marsel, and his GF Ann was sick so she had told him he had to GIVE away the tix to true fan who really wanted to go.. SO I offered him my 500.00 to get me a ticket and then this MOther runs up with 750.00 and a little girl in tears casue she had no ticket either. well he looked at us and just handed the Mom one ticket for her daughter and one for me.. I kept trying to give him the money and he kept saying "my GF will kill me if I take your money" so we got to go for free.. To this day I owe the karma factor thanks to these two, and their PJ devotion.. I always wondered if they satyed fans of the band or moved on... If y9u two are still out there, I still thank God for you everyday that I listen to PJ.. you guys made my lifetime that day..

    wow, what a nice post

it's great to see that some people on here are still nice, generous and friendly

i've been on this board for years and that used to be the norm around here, not so much lately though (the last few years)

nice to see it's still possible, hopefully even contagious :D
Don't come closer or I'll have to go

Nice thread, Johnny boy! I agree and feel the love too!
    =]

Kudos to this incredible band who can - more than anyone else - somehow "process" and "return" the incredible energy we all share for good music and the best of rock'n'roll vibes nowadays!
And, of course, congrats to everyone here exercising the will to give and to love in such style!
