vs came out in october. i remember i was a jr in hs, and i was SO ready for the 'new' album. my buddy had a leaked bootleg/promo cassette that we were rocking for like a month or 2 before the release date. i remember vividly driving to the local sam goody and picking up the new pj cd and the first release of snoop doggs doggystyle...they both came out on the same day if my memory serves correct. snoop dogg and pj. 2 killer new discs at once. its been a LONG time since a musical release day like that! plus the disc is orange... thats the most 'fall' album imo

My first thought was also No Code. BUT...is it because I bought it the day it came out (August 27th) and just have memories of it from fall semester of my junior year in college and my first show on 10/2/96?
Ditto that. No Code takes me back to fall of my freshman year in college. i bought it at a midnight release at the local record store. here are the release dates (month/year) of the other studio albums:

Binaural definitely seems like the biggest difference between season released and season it feels like. No way does it say spring -> summer for me. Complete opposite imo. For some reason, I think avocado has the best correlation when thinking about it.
Winter: Riot Act-has that quiet suddle feel to it, much like winter does. Great to listen to on a snow day
Spring: Yield- Don't have a great reason for this one, but lyrically I find it to be PJ's best work and spring is my favorite season so maybe it has something to do with that.
Summer: Ten-Nothing better than rolling the windows down and blasting this one on the way to the beach.
Fall:Binaural-has kind of a rustic, fall feel to it.
I agree with this post, and would add Vitalogy to Winter and No Code to Fall.
Vs. feels like New Years Day to me, but I'd rather enjoy it much more than once a year.
the palms, in the breeze, still blow green
and the waves in the sea still absolute blue
Riot Act jumped out at me first, and hey, waddaya know, it came out in the fall too.
