Can someone give me a crash course in obtaining tickets?

Ok... this would have been my first time obtaining seats through the 10c, however I have class (BOO!) during the presale dates and I have to put my faith in someone else to get the tickets for me, which is scary as shit. So is there anything to know? I don't trust anyone to do this but I need to prep them as well as possible. I'm thinking about going through a few dry runs with them for the Florida dates while I'm at it. Phew... I need these seats.

Doing a run through on the Florida dates will make it tough for people trying to get tickets, so to respect those people I wouldn't recommend that. Ok, for purchasing tickets.

Go to the goods section of the PJ site, and make sure you are logged in already. Be logged on and ready about 15 minutes early. Start refreshing about a minute to the sale date. You'll see tickets on the right side with the date of your show. You'll click it, hit add to cart, then go to checkout and put in your CC info and mailing and you should be good.

It will most likely be hard though. Don't give up right away and be ready to go for an hour straight. The board disconnects you, and other people, with the tickets in your cart before you check them out and they stay in that cart for 5 minutes, so it may say out of stock but not sold out, because those tickets are in carts but ticking away the seconds before they are out there again.

    good luck

It's definitely worth cutting class for. Your friend will likely mess it up.

Maybe I will for the MSG dates, but for Camden and Hartford that's not really an option.

Ahh! You people are a bad influence on me! :) I'm so torn. I'm really anal about skipping class, and it'd be classes on three straight days for the shows I plan to attend. So maybe one. And that's still a big maybe.

if there ever was a reason to be mia this is it, back in 1970something i wouldn't have blinked to take a mental health day, drive thru the country, get right,go back to class after so it would only be a day and a half in real time? and you may remember more than you would learn in algebra..or at least you can get the boot to refresh your memory

Yea, that's the thing. Who do I trust with my info? Only my brother who has work (not a PJ fan sadly) and my dad who is a little on the slow side when it comes to using the internet. RATS!

OK, this relates to this forum. I'm going to be in Disneyland (in Anaheim, CA) next week (taking the kids for spring break). While I'm psyched for this tour, I'm bummed because it makes things a little tough for getting tix. I was wondering if anyone thinks it's a bad idea to try to get tix via an iPhone for the pre-sale. I'm thinking it's not a good idea, but right now, it might be my only option. I'm hoping Disney might have an internet cafe or something? I've actually never been to Disney so I have no idea about if they have internet access for patrons. I'm not staying at a Disney hotel and it's likely that I'll be in the Disney themepark during that time. So, let's recap: is buying tix on an iPhone a bad idea and if so, anyone know if Disneyland has an internet cafe of some sort?

    Thanks!

Oh and to the guy thinking about cutting class, just cut class -- as long as there's no exam, what's the worry?

So it's the same buying process as posters?

In regards to shipping address.... I'm going to try for the NY tix and can have them sent to my parents in NY. Any advantage to doing so opposed to having them sent to my house in TX?... Come to think of it is shipping address even relevant? What is there to ship? Don't you pick them up at the show?

Thanks! Yeah, you'd think! But I've never been there so I have no idea. I think I'm just going to bank on them having an internet cafe. If I get them, it's meant to be, if not, then I'll bitch and complain when I get lawn seats from TicketBastard.

are there as many problems as there were with the Ed solo tickets with people's connections timing out, etc etc?

I really hope not, but as I live closest to MSG (and have wanted to see PJ at the Garden for many, many years,) I'm kinda thinking that it's going to be a cluster fuck.

This will not be nearly as hard as Ed Solo or the Vic, or even the posters.

2006 was rather easy. There will be plenty of tickets, these are huge venues.
