Only unwillingly. They're such experienced travelers... and I worry about the little one, she always sleeps snuggled right against my side, at the edge of the bed.

Unfortunately no, booked it pre-puppy. Might be a bit hot for her too (Malaysia and Cambodia).

28 days plus bank holidays, I get it in hours though so it works out a bit weird.

Does anybody else have Earned Time? Where you accrue so many hours per month, and out of those hours comes all your vacation time, holiday time and sick time? Not sure, we earn so much holiday per month and that's what we use. Don't accrue sick time though. We can earn lieu time which if we work longer than our working hours we can claim that back for time off later.

Yes and I am collecting right now...though you can't just get fired and collect. Lots of rules and stuff

No. But I did threaten to quit when a director at a former job told me that I'd have to cover call on my vacation and every other week going forward because she was "tired of doing it" and didn't want to any more. She didn't believe me... until three days later when I gave her my letter.
And then I had an awesome conversation with her at HR in which I said I was very sorry for her extensive personal life issues, and how often she'd call me crying from her office, her car, the sidewalk... said I really hope she'd get some help.
Yeah. She no longer works there...
