    you know, I really do. I crack myself up

    Oh, it wasn't all that bad in the end. I mean, you have to not think about what it would be like to actually stick your fingers or a spoon or whatever into your eye socket, and apply the force necessary to actually extrude the globe. One thing I would ALWAYS tell the staff I was orienting, or my students... it's fine to empathize, but do not go down the path of imagining this happening to you.

    Do you have an offbeat sense of humor?

    How about this: I'm thinking about going to NYC to see Brad in October. I'd take a train down and back by myself. Mr. Unlost says, "Please don't make me go with you." I'm happy heading off on my own.

    The general rule with good and well is that well is an adverb and good is an adjective. What this means is that well modifies verbs, adjectives and other adverbs and good modifies nouns.

    examples:
    That is a good song. (Good is modifying the noun, song.)
    You sang the song very well. (Well is modifying the verb, sang.)
    The bike is pedaling well. (Well is modifying the verb, pedaling.
    The car is in good shape. (Good is modifying the noun, car.)

    No, the weirdest thing I saw today was the guy with all the tats who was drenched in some gawdawful cologne. Who takes a shower in cologne?!? And then gets on a train?!? It was like "Brut" circa 1975. Foul.

    I was supposed to be at supper with friends about 2o minutes ago but it was too good to leave.

    No harm, no foul. But in case you missed it DOA I will tell you again, it seems to be happening this evening. The billboard guy is a girl. Got it now?

    I asked if you were an adult because you asked about whether we ever worry about being sent for a time out... I personally, as an adult... No, that is the least of my concerns.

    Why do college students new to a town require so many police officers and fire fighters? First day of check in and the sirens have been going off all evening... Helicopters flying over too.

    Hmmm. Sounds like a typical day at work for me. (The adjacent hospital's ambulance entrance is right outside my office window, and the helicopter landing pad shared by two hospitals is on the roof right next door. Blows the frigging plant off my windowsill with the propwash.)

    By timeout I was referring to an unanticipated mandatory vacation from posting here. Otherwise known as a ban.
