I've never seen goonies, but I believe that was filmed in Astoria, just north of Cannon Beach.

What kind of car do you have?
  • A2003 Kia Spectra. ( two-fer!!!)

How long have you had your current car?
  • HobbesHobbes Posts: 6,418
On Halloween, it will be two years.

Ever bought a new car or always used?
  • RKCNDYRKCNDY Posts: 31,013
Always used. I want a brand new car, I know it's a 'waste', but I'm one of those people that will drive my car until it dies and isn't repairable. I want to pick out the color, fabric, moonroof...I don't even know if you can 'order' a new car any more. Oh, and that smell lovelovelove the smell of a new car.

Am I too obsessed with getting a new car?

No. My last 2 cars have been brand new. I like getting everything I want and minimal of what I don't want. (Because, no, you can't really order a new car anymore with just the options you want. Everything is in stupid packages, most of the time the shits not even related. Sunroof, GPS, & heated seats for $2000 instead of just a sunroof for $500). I like having a full warranty. I like the fact that whatever happens to the car, I know I did it. I'm not buying someone else's neglected problems.

The only reason ppl say its a waste is the whole "it depreciates by $5000 when you drive it off the lot." Because, ya know, people who buy new cars are looking to sell them right away. :weary: I've had my current car for nearly 12 years. Couldn't give a shit what the value is bc its been paid off for 7 years.

How often do you change your oil?
  • HobbesHobbes Posts: 6,418
    Every 7,500 miles. Factory recommended.

How many miles do you drive a year?
  • JWPearlJWPearl Posts: 19,893
