I'm finding it easier to separate from things the older I get.

(And Leeze, I checked. No doggie presents. Checked all doggies, they all smell clean. Checked doggie feet to see if anyone stepped in anything, all are clean. It's a mystery and I can't figure out exactly where it is coming from.)

Do you tend to hang on to stuff, or is your place pretty much free from clutter?

Free from clutter ... although I do have a memory box and have kept all my concert ticket stubs since I was 14 but for general stuff I'm not a hoarder

My Mom was born in Ireland, came to the US as a young teen. My Dad is a typical American mishmash, mostly WASP, with one apparently Portuguese grandmother or great-grandmother. Family here for at least a few generations, but we don't really know for sure.

    Ever been to Ireland?

Nope, always lived in the US and for all but 6 months right here in Massachusetts. I briefly lived in West Hartford, Connecticut, during my journalism days but the news bureau I was working at closed. (Should have seen that coming, since all of our paychecks bounced at one point!)

Are you paid weekly, twice monthly, or monthly?

Guess Scotland is technically a different country to where I was born (England) ... and also lived in the US

    EDIT: monthly.

Any other country you would like to live in?

Ocean. But I do love the mountains and I'm lucky that I live on the harbor, but can be in the mountains in an hour and a half.

What kind of neighborhood do you live in? Can you describe your street?

  • I live in what is supposed to be a village but is more like an estate now. There's lots and lots of houses. My street is probably like kinda suburban houses, I live at the end, in a kind of cul-de-sac. Around 40 houses on the street, each house is made of bricks, look kinda the same but there are differences. everyone has a front garden and drive. everyone has plants and flowers. it's a nice street, i have lovely neighbours. lots of cats in our street too. :D

sorry got a bit carried away

    what about yours?
  • unlost dogsunlost dogs Greater Boston Posts: 12,553
Sidestreet in a quiet neighborhood by the harbor. We know most of our neighbors pretty well and are in and out of their houses for parties, etc. The houses are close together, with just a driveway or small side yard between them. Most of them were built around 1900 and are single-family, with garages. They all look pretty different, but are Colonial style for the most part. Most of them have front porches, and all but one are two story, or two story with an attic above.

    Does that paint a picture?
