Let the attacks start falling from the right in 3, 2, .... about Obama not being able to close the deal to bring the Olympics to his home city.

    I got a one:

I thought the Chicago Cubs were the only Chicago entity to flame out in the first round of October.

    Here is one more:

Children praise Obama, Chicago 2016 redux

He went to Denmark, to double-down,
To bring the games to his adopted town.
“The One,” with two other “Big O’s” in tow,
How could the IOC ever say no?

Barack Hussein Obama. Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm.

They were sent to make the city’s plea,
as a personal favor to their friend, Daley.
They promised their friend an impassioned pitch,
so he could make pals, and union laborers rich.

Barack Hussein Obama. Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm.

He leaned on them with his rock-star ways,
but the IOC was rather unfazed.
And to show the world how much he cared,
he met with McChrystal while he was there.

Barack Hussein Obama. Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm.

The committee returned a resounding “nope,”
should have sent goons, with a fat envelope.
    The IOC rendered Obama moot,
“Forest Gump lite,” in a really nice suit.

Barack Hussein Obama. Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm.

The Daley Plaza crowd got punk’d,
heck, they didn’t even have time to get drunk!
Shows you what The Messiah’s worth,
the “Second City” came in fourth.

Barack Hussein Obama. Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm.

It’s Rio in 2016, on that you can bet,
does the rest of the world “love us” yet?

Barack Hussein Obama. Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm.

I do love my Country. I think there are more important things we need to focus on. Being in Chicago my have been a big mistake with all the coruption. It could have shed a bad light on the city for ALL the world to see.and I liked the poem it was good!.

sorry, but i respectfully disagree aerial, the poem is just awful.

and, i do believe the usual way that the ignorant, arrogant and disrespectful haters refer to obama, is as 'THAT ONE', not 'THE ONE"

sheesh, if they are going to go to the effort of making a poem up to make fun of the guy, at least get it right.

you love your country only when it is ruled by people who think like you. that is never going to happen again. the olympics would have shed a bad light on the city of chicago? how so?? it is prestigious to host the games and it would have been good for the country for many reasons. i think it is really terrible that you can sit there and be happy that we lost the games.

by the way that poem was a piece of crap. my 11 year old nephew could have come up with something more intelligent than that. but then again, would anyone really expect something intelligent coming from the right? they have nothing to offer other than attacks in the media and stonewalling.

Anyone cheering the defeat of Chicago has serious mental issues. You obviously have some odd aversion to Obama. Every head of their respective state went to bid for their cities.

There is some reporting that Chicago's people may have overstated votes and had told Obama "if you go it will be a slam dunk". But regardless this was about bringing something to be proud of as Americans to our country. It wasn't about him. The right has gone so far off a cliff I don't see it recovering anytime soon. They aren't enough reasonable conservatives being vocal enough to take back their party.

Who would have thought David Brooks would have looked like a reasonable conservative on Meet the Press Sunday? ;)

I'm not sure if it's about being happy well then again I do think they're happy that Obama tried to bring the country, his city the Olympics and lost the bid badly. Any defeat/setback of Obama is a good thing EVEN if it benefits the right. It's becoming a sad day in America and we're just getting started and he hasn't been in office a year as yet.

i think you guys who wanted the games are taking a bit too far ... first of all - the games only benefit a select few (as shown by the studies i posted) - secondly, do americans really need another event to feel proud of themselves - i mean you guys have held the most olympics by far over every other country ... do you really need another one considering you just had another one!? ...

having said that - that poem was awful to say the least
